  • "Hi Jesus! Bob Flemstein, big fan!"

Bill, of all the surnames you could've used...

  • I believe in ghosts because I've seen and felt them but I don't buy the god story.

  • I love bill Marher and I am not religious by any means buttttt why bother those who are people say religion helps them what is wrong with that?

  • @talkindurinthemovie I'ts good material.

  • @talkindurinthemovie like he said, it's mass delusion.

  • I knew Obama was a werewolf hahaha. oh Bill, you're a genius. That's just my opinion, of course.

  • This man is a useless turd.

  • @SANTORO61 lol but hes right.

  • @SANTORO61 he has perhaps some of the biggest balls of today, coupled with a great mind founded upon logic and reason. AND he uses them. Not useless if you ask me.

  • fail

  • @bluesBro18 win.

  • @FreeRobertson yeah, my comment is a win

  • The awkward moment when 20% of the audience realize they're laughing and applauding at a joke that single-handedly destroys and exposes the very nature of religion that they whole-heartedly believe in.

  • "I'll show you Obama's birth certificate when you show me Sarah Palin's high school diploma" the crowd goes crazy!!!

  • I like that Maher saids that we can't pray global warming away or that he fears climate change. Well, here is the deal. This is a 4 billion year old earth that has gone through multiple climate change (which is a driving force of evolution) which means that Maher fears life, evolution, natural change and selection. I think Maher is scared that natural selection has not allowed him to produce kids meaning that he was a weak species and he realizes it, he just doesn't accept it.

  • @whyamimrpink78 Your ability to use flawed logic is almost uncanny. To fear climate change doesn't mean anything more than that, he doesn't like the idea of the climate changing. It has no connection to life, evolution, natural change and natural selection. Besides, here's the real deal so listen close: He was using climate change as an example. It doesn't mean he actually fears climate change. He was comparing realism to fantasy. Climate (real), to the devil (fantasy).

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 Who to say that the devil is "fantasy"? The devil could very well be real, and even if not literally but metaphorically. And if it helps people to live a better life then why cricize it? And Maher does fear climate change because he fears natural selection. He has no kids because natural selection decided that in order for man to evolve he shouldn't reproduce. I can play Maher's little game as well.

  • @whyamimrpink78 You're still using flawed logic to try and make a point. How would the Devil help people live better lives? Where's your proof that Maher actually fears natural selection. Did he come up to you one day and reveal his life secrets? You think you can play Maher's game? Oh the arrogance. You really are a pathetic excuse for a human being. Your inability to truly understand what's behind the message is almost unbelievable, and I pity anyone that knows you personally.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 People decide to live a good life because of their religious belief. They feel that killing and stealing is the work of the devil so they live their life that way. If that is how they feel then why take that away from them? Like I said, the devil doesn't have to actually exist, it could all be a metaphor. And I can play Maher at his game. He feels that he is so smart and he can twist words around.....

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 ....Well I am doing that with him. He preaches about evolution and I am making the statement that the reason why he has never reproduced is because nature has selected him not to. He is a weak species and as a result he is prohibited from producing offspring, where one of the people he hates the most, Sarah Palin(I do not support Palin), has mulitple kids. I used scientific evidence to show that he is weak and worthless.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 I apologize that I criticize your boy toy Maher. Face it, Maher isn't that great or smart and only the ignorant find him funny, like yourself. I pity anyone that knows you personally.

  • @whyamimrpink78 Once again you prove your ignorance and incompetence as a human being with such weak verbal attacks. You can try to turn around arguments and insults all you want, but doing so only proves what a complete loser you are and shows that you lack any respectable education level and you don't have a shred of self esteem. How do I know you have no self esteem? Because you turned to insults when your arguments were shot down. Again, I pity anyone who knows you.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 You insulted me first. So, what are you getting at here? That you lack self esteem yourself?

  • @whyamimrpink78 No, I insulted you to make a point. You insulted me back to try and stay alive in the argument. There is a difference. Like I've said to a few others, I argue on youtube for two reasons. One is to attack ignorance and stupidity like yours because I know it's a weakness. Two is because it's entertaining. I get a kick out of destroying your arguments and watching you get frustrated. If you wish to continue to entertain me, then please keep responding.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 You insulted me to make a point but yet when I come back with a legitimate arguement and then an insult it is because I have low self esteem? That makes no sense. I think I won this argument because you insulted me first. I don't mind an intelligent debate you came out swinging with insults from the start. With that it showed you are uneducated and uninformed. I come back with an arguement and you send insults.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 Don't worry. Losing isn't bad. I use to lose once. What I did though was become informed and come back with intelligent debates. So go back and do yourself a favor. Educate yourself and then come to the debate board. Take care.

  • @whyamimrpink78 I didn't see a single intelligent remark from you this entire argument. You think you're informed when you call someone of Maher's intelligence level "not smart"? Try to hold a debate with Maher and he'll rip you one hundred new assholes and laugh about it in your face on public television. Again, you're only serving to keep me entertained at this point which means I've already won. So nice try, but the only uneducated person here right now is yourself. It's sad.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 I have seen plenty of people debate Maher and put him in his place by saying things I would say to him. Maher isn't that intelligent. If I debated Maher one of two things would happen, either I will win or his true self would come out, that he just saids what he saids to get liberal ratings and doesn't mean any of it. I I haven't seen you make an intelligent remark, I have made some. It is sad that you can't realize defeat.

  • @whyamimrpink78 You've seen plenty of people jabber on without giving him the opening to destroy their arguments, nothing more. If they could put him in his place, they wouldn't be on his show because he'd know that. You're the only one who doesn't realize their beaten. It's like talking to a child. You can't beat someone who's toying with you. I've been toying with you ever since I destroyed your first argument. You've been beaten this whole time.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 Maher has had people on his show that put him in is place. It is just few and far between when he does. You didn't beat me. I came back to you with a legitimate arguement and since then all you been doing is saying that you won and keep repeating so. Since you don't have anything relevant to say to me or argue against my rebuttal then I am done with you. I know losing sucks, my suggestion to you is to educate yourself and then come back.

  • @whyamimrpink78 Your problem is that you can't see your own faults and weaknesses but they are painfully obvious to those of us who read your comments. You unfortunately are delusional about your ability to argue. Your ignorance and arrogance cloud your judgement on too many levels. My suggestion is that you go back to high school and learn to think critically and outside the box rather than losing yourself within your own mind. Until then, I'm done with you.

  • @Shadow07Warrior1989 I am done with you as well. But before I go I just want to comment on that high school education. I am working on my masters in physics right now so I will say that I am pretty educated beyond high school. And I have worked numerous jobs for multiple years and all I left on my own terms(some I still work) while in college so I would say that I can think outside of the box extremely well.

  • @whyamimrpink78 Your words ring hollow to me because they cannot be substantiated. Anyone, and you are not the first, can say such things about themselves but here's the problem: why would someone working on a Master's degree in Physics be on youtube? Someone with that much work wouldn't have time for something like this, holiday weekend or no. Also, if you were done with me why did you respond at all? Again, I won this argument a long time ago. Just give up and actually be done.

  • Bill Maher there is an intelligent superior life form that may be detected empirically through DNA codes. You see those codes are empirically known to be engineered. These Codes can be the link to a superior deity. I do not think the bible has gone unedited. I'm not a conservative. I actually dislike conservatives because they do the opposite that God commands them to do.

  • he doesent bilieve in god but he believe in global warming???wtf bill maher you were my hero.....

ps: you will always be my hero ; (

  • 75 million years ago... I think he was born 12 trillion years ago? Dunno.

  • I swear I've heard his "you - me!" bit somewhere else...

  • MormonTology XD hahahaha

  • bill maher seriously needs to shut the fuck up about religion and conservatives... he really needs some new material. just generally not a very funny guy.

and no, i'm not conservative or religious.

  • I'm a Christian and even I think Bill is hilarious.

  • ...One dislike! Has to be God lol

  • @dirtymonkey55 no that would be 0 dislikes cause he doesnt exist :)

  • @dirtymonkey55 9 dislikes now, it must be the greek gods :)

  • @dirtymonkey55 What god? O_o

  • @dirtymonkey55 9.

    The seven apostles and Jesus.

  • fearing a terorrist with the nuke is just as insane...

  • Imagine....the BALLS!!!!

  • Being able to laugh about religion is the first step.

  • @macmarkey100 Sure there's plenty of room for a god. But just because there is room doesn't mean its plausible. There universe is so big that there actually might be pink unicorns living somewhere. And since I've never seen a pink unicorn I'll say they don't exist until somebody comes along with good reason why I should believe in them. And because a book says so isn't exactly a convincing reason.

  • He thinks he's so smart - the fact that the cosmos exists at all in the magnificent state that it does - is that not miraculous? I know it is cliche, but really think about it. Existence itself is only partially logical, there is a lot of mystery which leaves plenty of room for God

  • @macmarkey100 Yes, the cosmos are magnificent and miraculous. Yes, there is a lot of mystery, and room for God, but it doesn't mean you should fill in the gaps with God (i.e. "God of the Gaps" fallacy).

  • @big1buddy What about evidence we have now that would support some sort of God?

  • @macmarkey100 If there is room for a God in the universe then, by biblical argument, he didn't create it which sorta makes the point moot.

  • @Vortex289 Come again?

  • @Patience1138 Well, the religious counter-argument to science and how God disobeys laws of physics is that God isn't within our laws of physics or in other worse - out side of the universe because he's just so really, really godish. You must have heard this before, it's been in most every debate since sicence took up really.

  • @Vortex289 Religion and science go hand in hand. They do not argue one another. Everything had to start from something. Something that had always been there. Where did the raw material spawn from to create the universe? Pick whatever theory you want, string theory, big band, the creation story; The strings, the dense atomic structure, all had to be produced by something. Something intelligent because of the physical laws we can observe now. I'm not very religious, but logic tells me God exists

  • @TheOfficialGlyphex But none of that is written in the Bible or which ever religious script you adhere to. They never address the complex issues, do they? If you are agnostic and believe that God may be, but not the God you find in the bible then you may be right, I don't know. But religion, the one that humans created, contradicts science on almost every step. The Vatican astronomers and astrologists agree with that.

  • @Vortex289 You are right, the bible or whatever manuscript doesn't really explain in a reasonable way how things came about. But I feel the presence of an infinite being would complete what science has discovered; ie. the big bang theory. If the big bang did happen, where did that originate from? Some other galactic structure? Okay, then where did that come from? You see the process could continue. At some point, some sort of intelligent being that always existed was at the start of this.

  • @TheOfficialGlyphex The thing is that an unpredictable particle is a lot more primitive than an intellegent being. If it's so easy to accept that there may have been an infinite being at some point who created all of this then why is it so hard to accept that a particle may have existed forever until it suddenly exploded, or whatever it did? I mean, isn't it more likelly that something primitive existed before something intelligent took its place? And anyway, intelligence is subjective.

  • @TheOfficialGlyphex: Then by the same standards, where did that being come from. If its true that something can't come from nothing, where did god come from?

  • @NoGodsNoOverlords Good question. That is the point of there being a god. A god or supreme being would have the ability to be timeless unlike a primitive particle. We could keep tracing back. "What did create god then? A super god?" One has to draw the line at some point. It is a matter of logic and faith when one trace's back to this point. "It makes sense for there to be god, but then again, do you believe it?" It is yes or no at this point. I say yes if my bias hasn't already been shown :p

  • @TheOfficialGlyphex: It just makes no sense that a being could be timeless, while a particle couldn't. Currently, there is no way to support either claim. Religion doesn't say where their god came from, but science can't say where that particle came from. I'm still an atheist, but I do appreciate other views.

  • @TheOfficialGlyphex Logic tells me you're full of shit. Whoops!

  • @Patience1138 Ah, there were so many typos in the previous post. =( "word" not "worse".

  • @Vortex289 No worries. Typos happen.

Yes, I have heard this argument, and it's a bit annoying. God would have no reason to break the laws of physics. After all, if He really does exist, HE WROTE THEM! He wouldn't need to break them because He would have no reason to create a law that would prohibit Him from acting as He chooses.

Honestly, all of this makes much more sense from the perspective of defining the properties of an infinite.

  • @Patience1138 But doesn't that sound a bit childish? "I am God, I do what I want when I want it." Does that sound remotely likely? Everything that happens has a high and a low, doesn't it? If you light a match then the fire burns bright but the wood becomes charcoal and carbonoxide and the match itself just isn't the same any more, but that is a long process. How likely is it really that God can work around that pretty basic mechanism? If he really exists.

  • @Vortex289 Once again, look into what it means to be an infinite. I might suggest brushing up on Aquinas a bit if you're curious.

  • @Patience1138 But how can something that is alive and complex be infinite!? Those two are almost contradictory! I mean, I'm not sure that I believe in infinity and any explanation to our existence has to be a paradox regardless of how much sense it makes. (And btw, wasn't satan the father of paradox?) I don't think that you can dumb down creation of everything to just "Huh? Well, uh, God did it." I think that it may be laziness on religion's part.

  • @Vortex289 That would be lazy if it stopped there. After all, knowing that He did it does NOT explain the HOW He did it or how it now works. Rather, we use science to observe existing systems in an attempt to understand how they function and interact with the rest of the universe.

By the way, an infinite is simply something that is unbounded by everything except for itself. I fail to see how that would create a paradox.

  • @Patience1138 "It is because it is" isn't a paradox to you? But what you are saying is that even though God created everything, the Christian God, the God of the Bible, then the universe was still created in the physical phenomenon of Big Bang? I suppose that that's a farily safe stand point.

  • @Vortex289 Oooooooooooooooooooooh, THAT paradox! Sorry, wasn't sure which one you meant. Okay, point taken.

Well, the solution is this: if God created the universe, then He must not then be a part of the universe, or else He would be bound to it. (That, of course, would mean that He cannot be God. I believe Socrates touched in this subject.)

By the way, I have no problem with God using the Big Bang. Anyone who has studied cosmology in the slightest can see evidence for it.

  • @Vortex289 Did I understand your point correctly? If not, PLEASE let me know! It's hard to have an intelligent conversation, otherwise. lol

  • @Patience1138 No, I think that you got it. I think that your view makes a lot of sense actually. I mean, if you are willing to accept that God made science for us to use and that he does not speak through "messiah" and "prophets" then I have no issue at all with any of what you said. I am not sure that it matters whether God created us or not if we believe in essentially the same thing here. Aside from the God thing.

  • @Vortex289 While I personally believe that God did speak through prophets, I see no reason to bring that up in a discussion about science. Besides, the Bible actually endorses natural science in Romans 1.

Besides, I prefer discussing science. Most people have access to scientific data. Otherwise, having an intelligent debate is difficult. lol

  • xD

  • I know some people ( nice people) that are very religious. Even I was a little religious at some point, but I noticed that when they have issues with some other folks, they tend to have a very holy attitude! And the biggest offenders have the gall to forgive you. So when ever I piss them off...I tell em that they have to forgive me...it's in the bible!! Need less to say, I'm very popular..hahahaha!

  • Of course you can't pray away global warming, I mean you can't pray something that doesn't exist away :)

  • lol@ the scientology part

  • Sane people arent religious people

  • Bill Maher believes in God just not the Christian God.

  • @Kelsonbang Hahahahahahaha

oh are you serious? that's retarded.

  • @wogolfer that is what he believes.

  • @Kelsonbang

No, I'm pretty sure he is an Atheist, the main point being that that there is no such thing as a supreme being.

  • I laughed very hard about the Scientology portion of this show. So hard, in fact, I had to look it up to see if it was true. To my surprise, all of it was true. Except for one thing; Xenu depopulated his planet 75 million years ago, not 12 trillion years ago. Just thought I'd clarify for people out there. But it's still fucked.

  • Bill Maher is very sarcastic, but i guess he wants to prove a point with his comedy. People laugh all the time during the show, dont they? They probably got his joke. His critics towards society are based on facts. Guess it tells us something.

  • @Tuchaua72 Correct, too bad no one gets it on youtube haha.

  • say what u want about bill maher but he lives in reality and is one of the few comics that can make tears come down my face from laughter.

  • i think bill maher is the reincarnation of the smothers brothers

  • Crazy isn't it. Paul the Apostle thought Jesus was going to return in his lifetime also and it didn't happen go figure.

  • This made my day! Thanks so much for posting friend : )

  • BIRTHERS: "I'm not ready for a black president...I'm very fragile right now.....maybe in years I can bear the sight of a black man getting on Air Force One, but right now I'm not ready" - F-N hysterical!
