You're comparing two completely different airlines though. USAir like most US airlines is mainly a domestic carrier while Singapore is largely international. USAir's domestic planes are for the most part more modern like the Embraer aircraft which i actually enjoy flying on. If you look at American Airlines as an example I have a feeling that most domestic carriers will do some large scale upgrades on their fleets in the next few years, even if to a lesser extent. Then the 767 you are so quick

to call a piece of crap will be replaced with A330 which is actually their long-term plan. So before you call it a 3rd world aircraft realize what the main purpose of the airline is and that international comfort and amenities are not a main priority for this airline like Singapore or Qatar.

Lol, I flew on one of these as my first ever 767 flight from Philidephia - Orlando as the second leg of my holiday (I am from Manchester).

They may be old and a bit outated, but the fact the -ER varients of all 767s are still in production is a testiment to their sucess.

it is not the exact same but ya it is very similar. most pilots are cross trained to fly the 757 and 767.

no they do not. ptv's will not be installed since the a/c are slated for retirement in the near future. they will install a 56 inch plasma screen in place of the flip over screens as a "quick fix solution" until the a330-200's arrive.
