I've had this since it was released... and it's been great. It has 1 dead pixel and I tried to get a replacement.. I think they sent 3 different replacements each w/ more problems: Black light bleed, 3+ dead pixels, bad uniform... so I stuck with my original that has one dead pixel. I barely even notice it now... I was just being overly picky.
nah that's not overly picky, I'd be pretty annoyed if I had any of the issues you've listed. are you sure it's a dead pixel and not a stuck one though? if it's stuck you might be able to fix it. there's a good chance i'll be ordering a 2209wa this month but ugh all of the problems i've heard about have made me wanna put it off..
I got mine for $220 shipped when it was 299 and out of all the monitors I could have picked from, this was by far the best. I'd much rather have a IPS panel for $220 with one dead pixel than a TN panel. Not sure about 2 dead pixels though. Dell has a great exchange program though.. I could have kept requesting replacements but sadly 1 dead pixel is common, yet unacceptable thsi day and age, IMO. It is a dead pixel btw. I'd jump on this... It's an ultrasharp so it has a 3 year warranty too.
Dell has some Advanced Exchange thingy where you always have a monitor... so when the replacement monitor came... I could decide which one I wanted to send back. They usually shipped the replacement within a day or two and then it arrived within 2-3 days. So depending on when you call.. I could get the replacement the same week. Great service, IMO. If you're not a racist and are patient over the phone... Dell has the best CS in terms of output
It's been 2 months since i have it, and i love it. It came perfect, only with a little BLB in the left top corner, but nothing compared to my previous Samsung (with TN panel). Quality of image is great and i didnt notice any uniformity problem. If you are looking for a great quality 22" monitor, get this one, u won't regret.
Yep I ordered this monitor like last thursday or wednesday. Its £200 here in the UK and boy I think its worth it, I was going to go for 24inch at 1920x, sure if you have a big budget go for it, go for a 24inch ips pannel, but really een 22inch is HUGE,.
For us 30years old fokes who started with 14inch square screens, (like the one burning my eyes athome now till this arrives) 22inch is just insanely ok.
DONT FORGET THIS GOES NICE WITH A TRIPLE HEAD TO GO..3x2209wa for gaming. is A1++
I ordered one on friday. Only U$S320 here in Argentina. Does it have any color uniformity problem? Some people complained about that, and returned their units. Hope mine comes ok. Bye.
well since its an IPS panel, that shouldnt be an issue since the colour and depth of richness is unmatched with the lower quality and priced TN panels.
i really want this monitor but the prices in europe are a ripoff. its like double the prices here. its 329 euro wich are 420$. what a fucking joke dell are!!
hi ichd383 hows the quality on playing non dvd movies . i mean videos on youtube or just reguler porn clips does the quality gives sharp and good skin tones compare to a tn lcd?

Unless you are using this monitor in a very bright room, I'd suggest putting the brightness to 10.

is it normal for this monitor to produce a lot of heat?
MattAndi 3 years ago
it does tend to run warm, unless its like hot enough to fry an egg on, i wouldn't worry about it.
