  • MASTER !!!! bass is amazing ;)

  • look at that wooten thumb go!

  • show me a little ratm and some in depth pantera work.

  • so your telling me your the shit. Ima check out some of your other work. But are you the basketball player or the football player. That didnt make any sense.

  • jason newstead could take some lessons from you you

  • @whiteboy0077 Thanks. But.... i would say this is like saying a professional Basketballer would learn moves from a semi-professional footballer. They're just in two completely different sports.

  • nice bassework brother learning other songs is a great way to expand your skills.

  • @whiteboy0077 This peterpuffer wants some attention guys. give him sum.

  • FAVORITED.

  • hey bro that was to funky, lol keepm coming, btw i love how that fender sounds,

  • @trm1011 that was a gay statement. lol pumpin that shit? lol lame

  • hes good real good !!

  • I liked the way you diffused that bullshit with overtime2005 Keep slappin dat shit home you know your pumpin that shit

  • fuck ya! i love this line! i have a BC Rich Warlock so my slaps dont sound as crisp but sall good haha your bass if sunburst is my absolute dream bass haha you dick! nice vid well done! Keep it funky bro!

  • @DJnaggin yeah, I hear you I got BC Rich Warlock too. It's my first and only bass and slap sounds okay on it but I'd much rather have a fender jazz bass like this one (sunburst doesn't sound to bad either) or maybe a black 6 string BC Rich Widow that's a bad ass bass.

  • Excellant!

  • very CoOL,thanks 4 posting this,1969fenderjazz!!!

  • i'll take that as a yes. either way these are some nice videos!

  • How do i get this good? Should i take lessons?

  • @c33po is this a trick question? :)

  • @1969fenderjazz so are you saying that in order to get really good on bass you NEED to take lessons because I'm pretty sure there are many really good bassists out there that are self taught. Sure it's good motivation to practice more but it all depends on your chops, how much you practice, etc. But man I gotta tell you, you got some serious chops did you take lessons?

  • @GiorgioCastaldo1I thought it was a funny question: should i take lessons? It's a question that has different answers. Some people do it on their own, some take lessons. In the last 23 years i had maybe 5 years of lessons.

  • oh yeah and there is something else i noticed. The only octave run that you did correctly was @ 1:41 and the little fumble @ 2:00. :D but for the most part 5/5, jam on my mann!

  • @overtime2005 Only one octave run i did right? Snap, gotta practice more!

  • yeah - i like it

  • THE BEST MAN!! :D

  • Smooth!

  • I went high school with John Eaton, Ready For The World bassist, I remember those licks from the high school talent shows. You got it down. Very good

  • oh yess those are the strings to use . the light gauge .45 to 100 yep, u can get funky with those !

  • @MastaJP yeah, I use medium gauge roundwound (I can't remember the company but they're pretty good) I've always wanted to try flatwound strings too how do they sound with slap or what are they ideal for??

  • @1969fenderjazz Man, you are cutting into my sleep! I've watched many of your videos tonight and I want to watch them all, but brotha is tired! It's nice to see your appreciation of soul and funk. The Prince, RFTW, and L42 bass lines are all off the hook!!! You do a great, great job, man. Keep doing your thing, bro. Thanks for sharing your talent.

  • what kind of strings are you using?

  • HOT !!!
