Spectacular!! Absolutely beautiful!! I really am going to have to try this even though there is no way I will match your artistic ability!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!
I thought the black and white print on the box was lovely!! I could put matte finish over that and be happy lol. The finished project was incredible!! I think this is something I may try. It's not like messing up on an expensive canvas
I was absolutely in awe Tim, watching your canvas come to life right before my eyes. Seldom do I stray outside of my comfort zone (stamps, markers, cardstock ... the usual) but I am actually excited to try this project. Thanks for the tutorial and the inspiration Tim. It feels like a light has been turned on in my imagination.

I cannot believe how GORGEOUS this turned out. You are truly talented. I have enjoyed your K & Company designs forever. I am glad I found you here on YouTube. Thank you for sharing!
Once again --thanks for the stamps. You are so inspiring! My hubby is the artist but I am going to be the one this time. I like the range of colours used.
Thanks for letting me know the video inspired you enough to plan making your own canvas. I'd love to see the finished results if you decide to share. Tim :0)
TFS your wonderful work. Found you through jennings 644 who mentioned your glue gun technique, got to try this. Also going on a web search for your CG papers, haven't come across them in local store yet, love them. But how as an artist do you keep so clean!?! I'm such a messy worker lol!! You have another subbie!
Thanks for subscribing and giving me your feedback. You can find the Cottage Garden designs at the k and company website if you don't mind ordering online. As far as being clean - don't forget that all you see is a very small area in the frame, the rest of my studio is a disaster area right now! Tim :0)
When I started this channel, I had decided that I wanted to use recycling or upcycling as a recurring theme and as inspiration for coming up with new ideas. So, I just started looking for anything and everything that was being discarded to use as material for my projects. It's a huge compliment that you look at things differently now, because that means you're inspired! Thanks for the feedback! Tim :0)
Wow wow wow!!! Tim I just love your cereal box canvas. Your use of layered color is amazing!!!! It looks so beautiful on the mantle thank you for sharing such a fabulous technique with your gorgeous flower !!
Hi, Just go to my main channel page, on the top left there's a favorites menu, or you can view it in the window on the right, just below the uploads window. Thanks for asking, Tim :0)
I love this idea! The recycling, the hot glue technique, the paint layering! Thanks for inspiring! I cant wait to use this technique in my projects!~Beth
Oh my goodness. It is amazing to see a real artist at work. Thank you so much. It was like an art lesson. I loved it. I think I don't take the time to do all the layers. I am afraid that it will be muddy but if I let it dry... Now I see. Thanks again.
Thanks for your feedback- the key to working in layers is to allow the paint to dry between layers. It is true if you mix a lot of colors while still wet, you can make mud pretty quickly, unless you intentionally want the colors to mix on the canvas. Tim :0)
Love the finished results Tim!! So beautiful!! This is going to be one of my project here in the near future. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!!!!
Phenomenal! Thank you so much for the creative inspiration! I love how you layered paint over paint over paint! I have never been able to do that effectively! I end up covering too much. Thanks for making the video, for the canvas idea, for the hot glue technique, and for the tutorial for how to do the painting! I feel ready to try it now!
Hi Tim, Thank you so much for mentioning my canvas video, I really appreciate it. I'm so honored you favorited my video! Your canvas came out amazing! I love the texture and the color combination. I've really enjoyed watching the whole process. I'm looking forward to your next project! Thanks again and take care.
Hi Paveena, You're welcome. I enjoyed your video with the sound effects, it was very soothing to watch, and it makes me want to take a vacation at the beach and visit some lighthouses! Thanks for watching, Tim :0)
This is simply exquisite, Tim. I love the techniques you used. I would love to see a series of these hanging together on a wall....how pretty would that be! I'm going to have to try this soon. You are so generous and such a great teacher! Thank you so much.
Thanks so much for your compliments. I agree, I think a series would be great. I'm thinking of doing a group of boxes that are intended to be grouped together. I'm giving it some thought. Tim :0)
Exquisite Tim! What a lovely and interesting piece of art! Thank you so much for walking us through the process...it is very inspiring! Maybe to prevent the box sinking next time you could crumple old newpaper and add it to the box before taping.
Hi Gina, Actually, I think the box sank a little because I turned it inside out. I won't do that again! I think the boxes should be fine if left intact. I'll keep experimenting with the boxes as I move forward. I don't think I need to add the masking tape either. I think they will be fine with just the brown paint and gesso. Thanks for the suggestion! Tim :0)
WOW Tim Imagine my surprise when you said I inspired you to use your glue gun for your beautiful art piece. I almost fell out of my chair. lol Thank you so so much for inspiring me and others everyday.
Hi Annette, seeing your heart embellishment you made with the glue gun was just the spark of inspiration I needed for this piece. I love how you were inspired by the molding paste technique and experimented with different methods, and you took it to a whole new level with your molded embellishments. TFS, Tim :0)

Hi Tim! This reminds me so much of cloisonné. The layering of the paint gave your project so much depth and richness. I adore this technique and want to say thank you for sharing it with us. Aloha!
Tim, This is stunning!! I did have the finished project in my mind after the last video but in my mind it was more antiqued sepia looking. I like your version alot better. Is watching your videos changing my taste???lol. Thank you for sharing your ideas and broadening mine! Jo Ann
Hi JoAnn, I love antique and sepia, too. I can't stick with one style, I like so many different color palettes and styles. Thanks for your feedback, Tim :0)
Absolutely brilliant! I love love love it! I hope to see more vid from you. You are such an inspiration. Will you be posting your next version of this project?
I'm sure I'll be creating more cereal box canvases in the future. In fact I'm already getting ideas for a new twist, but next on my list is turning a junk mail catalog into an art journal. And I have lots of other ideas too, so I'm hoping everyone will stick with me! Tim :0)
Thanks for the feedback. I had fun making the video, and with the first couple of steps, it looked a little sad, but I knew I had the trick up my sleeve of using the wash, so it was fun putting it together. Thanks for watching! Tim :0)
I just love this project and all it's layers of glue and paint and washes! Thank you so much for taking the time to sharevwith us. You help all of us become more creative!
Holy Smokes...I am so truly inspired by your creativity, Tim..and so grateful that you are willing to share it..it helps me to wander outside of the box ( excuse the pun.. hee hee) and just as importantly to explore and enjoy this artform SO much more!! Thank You....
Thanks so much Tim, It was worth the wait its Beautiful. Wow! No one would know it started out as a cereal box. You are such an inspiration. Have a great weekend!!
So gorgeous Tim! This whole process has been amazing, than you so much for sharing it with all of us. I can't wait to do some of these with Caleb this summer. I don't think his will be as detailed though :0) Love the digital stamps also, thanks! Hugs ~Schell
Hi Schell, It's all about the individual's interpretation, whether more detailed, it's about making it your own. I'd love to see what you come up with - and I hope you enjoy the digital stamps - I'd love to see your interpretation of those, too. Tim :0)
OUTSTANDING. Absolutely loved sharing the creative process of this box with you. Thank you so much for this project, it has started the gears in my head turning. LOVE the way the final piece turned out and how you used the traditional sunflower colors in a unique way that give the illusion that this canvas is on fire and dancing in the summer heat! Great job!

Tim :0)

Great job!
