HIV can spread to the fetus through the placenta as viruses are very small but some drugs help to reduce the risk of the fetus becoming infected. Ben

I also am aware that the HIV1 strain which affects humans is similar to the SIV which affects chimps, but this may have jumped the animal - human barrier due to chimps being hunted/butchered and eaten, more than likely during the butchering process as if the meat was cooked the virous would be killed?

I find this hard to believe, this drug. I mean, the mother is constantly supplying haemoglobin to the child contain oxygen which it needs to respire, the haemoglobin is part of the blood. So to actually stop the transmission as far as I'm concerned is virtually impossible. I'd like to see this thing explained as it would, i'm sure, be very interesting.

I'm fairly sure the mother doesn't supply haemoglobin to the child. The fetus has an almost separate circulatory system from the mother. The fetal blood is oxygenated in the placenta via the diffusion of oxygen from the mother's blood to the fetal blood. Fetal haemoglobin is different to adult haemoglobin too. HIV can spread to the fetus through the placenta as viruses are very small but some drugs help to reduce the risk of the fetus becoming infected. Ben

@HariltonMW2 To be honest i find it a sickening thought but look at it this way, the world knows the US government blew up the twin towers and killed 100s of its own people to get an excuse to go to war and really only wanted oil & material gain, they also did for real slaughter the native americans and took their rightful land.
The UK blew up tube trains around the same time as the twin tower incidents so it could support the USA, makes you wonder? Africa, Diamonds, minerals, they'd do it??

So what? The comment I had issue with was the fact you was saying 2001 and 2005 happened at the same time. The same time to anyone else with a brain would be either by the hour or by the day. Two incidents happening 4 years apart can NEVER be the same time and you need to acknowledge that you made an important mistake.

The first three bombs where set off not simutaniously but almost 1 minuet apart from each other and the forth not set off till an hour later.
The bombings where carried out by four muslim men, three of British Pakistani race and one of British Jamaican descent, who were motivated by Britain's involvement in the Iraq War, not to gain support. The bommed the trains becasue of our involvment in the war.
