Hitchcock did not want any music in Psycho but Bernard Hermann begged him after to use the soundtrack that he made. Then Hitchcock agreed with the composer.

Joseph Stefano's script is really excellent. If you go on simpyscripts, you can read it and it's very close to what they ended up shooting, but just his style of writing is really brilliant.
