  • @naroon201. Steve posted right after me.(Stevil6661)... Seems he lives I Ottawa now.

  • A favourite of mine since it came out. Great song.

  • I'm a space loser. Sian forever.

  • Where do I get the song by Gleet with the sound bites from Full Metal Jacket?

  • 'accidentally' got into sianspheric when i saw them in the sidebar from another band. so glad that i did!

  • I saw Sianspheric in 95 at an HMV in Waterloo Ontario Canada. Part of some indie rock bonanza thing. Steve had a bad case of gas. I'll never forget that moment.

  • I love this song! Somnium was a classic album.

  • omg my burlington boys!!!!! SOOOOO good in my acid days!!!!!!!! I love the somnuim alblum it's a staple in my life. Hamilton loves sianspheric.

  • =] You practically took the words out of my mouth

  • wow, this took me way back. i used to love love love this band.

  • This is Stephen Peruzzi, i am the singer (lol, more of a bass player if anything) on this track, thank you for posting this, sianspheric still rock and it was the best time of my life..if you want to get a hold of me then facebook me [Stephen Peruzzi] even if we never met but you enjoyed or hated Somnium (album name) then i will add you as a friend.

Steve Peruzzi 2008 "It is a shame we have to get old"

  • beautiful noise

  • Astronauts pay no mind

  • Thanks for posting this. I've been wanting to see it for most of my adult life!

  • I saw them a few years back in Regina when Steve Peruzzi was still playing, along with Adam Franklin and Toshak Highway. Totally wicked night and this track put me right up in the stratosphere....I love 'em. (The whole Spaceman thing is a bit of a crib from Jason Pierce though)

  • anyone see these guys at The Hideaway in St. Catharines?

  • Yeah Turin I used to see them all the time. My band even played a few shows there. If you remember Maryjane. Didn't these used to be called Sponge and they had to change it?

  • @Royfokker73

I think they used to be called Gleet. My awesome neighbour let me borrow this Sonic Unyon 7" with one of their tracks. I also think I read an interview where he said this. Sponge was another Sonic Unyon band though.

  • @Royfokker73

sorry, I didn't relies independent already answered you.

  • Yeah Turin I saw them there a few times. My band Maryjane even played there a few times. Didn't these guys used to be called Sponge and had to change it?

  • they were 'gleet' before. After the passing of their singer, they formed sianspheric.

-sponge was another band from the same area/era.(also labelmates)

  • You're absolutely right. It was so long ago I totally forgot about Gleet. Seems like most the Sonic Unyon bands went through name changes. I remember Treble Charger being NC17 and having a naming conflict.

  • yep,

    shallow became shallow, north dakota.

I really want to find Steve Peruzzi, I guess he went MIA in 98.(went to elementary school with his sister-family lives around the corner from my parents house).

Man, the burlington scene 13 years ago was really awesome.

  • @7777independent7777 What happened to the singer?

  • Urbane, Etheric, yet dirty and brutal. it's always a wicked windy late Autumn Night, listening to this.

  • this is some good stuff

  • They were never the same after they lost Sean, though Nothing stands was nice and they had some other sweet stough. Somnium is to this day one of my favotable ablums of all time. Long live the Sian!!! Hah.

  • f yeah - love you guys

  • any sian fans out there like radiohead ???

  • Hell yeah SIANspheric! I envy tadlee he saw them live.

  • yes!!!! finally someone who digs sian .. cheers
