whiteboy im sorry to say this but the average human dream lasts for 20 seconds. when you sleep it just seems like the dream is long because you are actually having multiple dreams with periods of time in between. This is why sometimes there seems to be random transitions within your "dream" because you brain blends together the different dreams.
