@mamapeas1 you can do it and if they come out messed up give it a fancy name like "dream on a cloud" soup. LOL. I'm so used to wearing an apron - and I love my SHTF denim apron!
I love the international aspect of internet cooking clips. We cannot get stuff here or there and also the altitude and water and cooking arrangements vary. I can get huge quantities of frozen Asiatic dumplings here for cheap but they fail to please. If I cannot pay the Chinese people downstairs to cook for me, I have to dig in and do it myself. I like the video clips cuz usually we can interact in various languages and give tips. Uprated. Won Ton soup is so good when you are sick!
@MLZ42679 LOL I was really avoiding doing that video - but I guess I will have to do it now. Double check in your grocers section for some reason they put them in the produce section here next to the ginger and sprouts. PM me your city i'll try to find some
@TheSheChef Sorry didn't mean to add any extra work! :) Are they basically just pasta or are they more of a pastry shell? I live in a small town so things like that are not usually stocked. The next time I get to town I will check with the bigger chain grocery store. Thanks!
@MLZ42679 lol don't apologize - folks should know how to do it from preps anyways. I'm just burnt out from putting up 8 videos, prep shopping, and school lol
@MLZ42679 I looked at the wonton wraps recipe right now and it looks the same as egg noodles. turns out it won't be that tough afterall. I was worried because the storebought kind had barley flour.
lol I see that another doc is volunteering his services. Am I right, moDOC42?! lol and besides some of them have inflated egos and the cool ones are taken.
Awesome vid, I dont know if its watching you cook, maybe what your cooking or the fact that I like your voice, but I loved this video. I wonder if a person could smoke that meat, or maybe the whole Wonton for an hour or two and if you did would it give it a uniques taste, or ruin it? Nice job She, Great video. I take it there is a part 2 coming?
@JoeandZachSurvival When you go to HongKong or Taiipei - they often smoke the pork in adobe drums. I don't know what else to call them. But if you marinate it for 3 days and then smoke it - you will get the most superior char siu you've ever had.
Very cool. I have always been a little afraid of wontons, no idea why. when you were making your Bishop's hats, I was wondering if you had pasta and you filled it, say wit cheese, and folded it like that, plus the hat part down, is that how you make tortalini? Sry, my mind wanders a bit, but I flashed on it when you made the first one and was wondering. I am looking forward to the soup part!
@rondygal a lot of people use these wonton skins for raviolis and such. I think the tortillinis are a bit smaller but i'd eat them this size if i made them! :)
Provided I don't screw up my husband will be thanking you. lol BTW I love that you wear an apron. You don't see that much anymore.
