Also, the episode was fantastic! I loved the end

  • i think last part of movie is similar to hills run red

movie made by real torture and killinga

  • this movie was actually really good, I got it from my mother like 8 years ago and love it. gruesome

  • Interesting concept!

  • this looks rediculous and boring

  • this movie is bloody, this woman gets killed,Very gory!

  • john carpenter fucking rules

  • xpolier: the film is the mutilation n torture of a angel

  • 1:32 reminds me of "a Serbian film"

  • One of the best films, purely, that I've seen in quite a while.

Thank you for this, John Carpenter.

  • Man these are so creeepy D:

  • The trailer doesn't really do this episode justice. It's much better.

  • This reminds me of the movie "In the Mouth of Madness", which I love!

  • u wanna see all these movies? look up imdb an sighn up there all there

  • I miss when they would show Masters of Horror on showtime :(. I used to look forward to these. Aw man..sucked when they tried showing it on cable tv.

  • @LIVINGONTHEDOLE An angel.

  • This ones awesome,

  • this movie is so scary :o i love it :D

  • It's Murphy Mcmannus from Boondock Saints!

  • are masters of horror and fear itself episodes good? do they have good acting, special effects, and a good story? I never saw any of them.

  • @mdubi687

masters of horror are one hell good of the show there are some episodes that will glue you to the screen

you just wanna watch the best episodes id tell you cigarrette burns ( THE BEST ) , imprint , black cat , jennifers body , the fair hairless child . those are pretty good ones but if your into horror watch everything its defenitly worth it.

  • @Spartann666 I agree that cigarette burns its awesome but my order of favorites its like this:

    1. Cigarette burns

    2. Jennifer

    3. Imprint

    4. Dreams in the witch house

    5. Sick girl (pays homage to a classic argentinian horror tale by Horacio Quiroga, one of my favorites as a kid )

And if you like horror watch the whole first season, its awesome.

  • I want to see this merely because of the fact that Norman Reedus is in it... and I freaking love that man! Plus, it looks like an interesting flick. haha

  • @boondockxsaints Excact same reason i wanted to.

  • Comment removed

  • this whole episode is here:

    watch?v=Oi7WWDmJDzY

  • I love it... It makes me obsess about La Fin Absolue Du Monde...

  • Big John.

  • omg this movie was sooo scary !

put me off tomatoes for a month ! -.-*

and i really like tomatoes T-T

  • looks awsome, but Imprint was fucked up. this looks some notches lower than Imprint.

  • Halloween was the first horror film I ever saw, so of course Carpenter has a special place in my heart; I really love this episode, Carpenter does not disapoint! Plus, I love the idea of a film making people go nuts!

  • Clearly the scariest shit ...

For those of you whom haven't seen it.

I highly recomend it to you...

  • J. Carpenter signe là une oeuvre sombre.

"Cigarette burns" reste l'un des meilleurs épisodes de la saison 1.

  • The music is a vile rip off of Dario Argento's Suspiria...

  • "Written by Drew McWeeny" that pretty much sums it up.

  • He saw The Ring ? XD wtf?

  • @XCutePupa lol thats what i thought too!!!!!

  • this is the only masters of horror video that i would ever actually buy. (the rest are terrible. check out "grizzly rage", u'll probably kill urself.)

but, honestly this is the best horror movie ever...

p.s- thumbs up if u agree.

  • @zzistotallylovinit Uh, sorry but you have your wires crossed. "Grizzly Rage" was NOT one of the "Masters of Horror" series. "Grizzly Rage" was one of SyFy's Saturday Night movies.

  • this blew, the whole masters thing blew, i think their fat & happy (like orson after c. kane) i think if they were to put out a challenge for young horror makers to try n top these masters they would have way better material fromn people still trying, hungry n ready to make their mark

  • watch complete edition associated with this particular movie right here at a=v=a=t=z.net remove =

  • damn im 12 and i love those series i just love the felling of getting scared shitless

  • @aelita12345678910 hehe :P i started getting into horror films when i was about 10. Since then iv been watching every horror film i know there is. :P me and my mum would watch every horror film we could get on DVD or video or whatever!. but seeing as she passed on the 18th of november. iv been experimenting o.o. And iv came to the conclustion. i like feeling scared shitless to! =ºvº=

  • Wish they had a better leading man for this. The guy they hired is too effeminate.

  • @fortehlulz9999 ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME THATS NORMAN REEDUS!!!

  • @Fendertastic No, I'm not. He sounds like he's like 5 minutes away from asking another male actor to an oil soaked pillow fight.

  • @fortehlulz9999 Thats funny, considering he was in the manliest fucking film of all time, THE BOONDOCK SAINTS.

    Case closed.

  • @Fendertastic You WOULD like that movie. You probably file it between "Yentl" and and "All Male Gangbangs Part 6". Homo.

  • cannot be unseen

  • not scary enough

  • 9mm fucked the ring and gave birth to this bastard child

  • Masters of Comedy...

  • This is too awesome, its directed by John Carpenter AND the lead actor is Norman Reedus! im so happy *wipes tear* (:

  • i have seen all masters off horror movies :D

  • @kuutisenkiloahiivaa God Bless you, i saw 2 of them and that was enough, really bullshit series.

  • @predpis92 actually I don't believe in God :D and that is your opinion about masters of horrors :)

  • @kuutisenkiloahiivaa isn't the self entitlement that atheist have a funny thing?

  • @TheJGoolsby ok

  • @BIGDADDYf50, yhea it is.

  • This looks like a Videodrome imitation.

  • Carpenter's the man

This one was pretty boring though

You always need ya fuckin rope!

Season 1 and 2 for sale on our channel

  • I thought the character's name was Kirby Sweetman.

  • I didnt like this episode, it seemed generic.

  • I watched this when i was 10 years old :D

  • The Ring meets 8mm, but much, much better than the rest of the series.

  • I really got traums from this episodes, i couldn't sleep that night. But for some reason i want to see it again!

  • Didnt like it. All this talk about Le Fin Absolue de Monde being something more than gore, and in the end it was just random gore.

  • @distantworld

It wasn't just gore, it was the amputation of the wings of an angel, the most beloved humans in your life getting tortured, and the most terible things you could imagine in things of brutality banned on the screen. But when you talk about it just being gore, you didn't understand any point of the movie.

  • @distantworld That's all you saw?

  • the best

  • i like the fallen littlealien angel.

    freakin reptilian

    illuminati!

  • illoveee it

  • i saw this like one thousand times... never understood it

  • @TALENTOSOYELMEJOR its about going insane basically when you see it or get close to seeing it.honestly for myself watching it i thought it was pretty creepy and quite real considering the cigarette burns fact and just the world how it is and ugh the movie just makes me sick the more i think of it

  • Fair haired child is creepy

  • @Aceyellow26 That's an angel

  • i cant tell if this trailer was for real or not

  • more people should be watchin these. one way ticket to instanity

  • First Series

  • Loved This Episode Best One Couldn't Agree More!!

  • @cyberdan1979 Which series is this?

  • is this like the ring?

  • @mythtesters5 no, the movie that kirby (reedus) watches is kinda similar to the video in the ring but not exactly. I can't even explain it right. you would have to watch it for yourself

  • This episode tripped me the fuck out when I watched it.

  • Hey Yuri from Red Alert is in this movie! :D

  • This totally sucks! Why does every good horror series like this one die out so early?

..and I wanna be a Master of Horror!

  • somwhere i readed that this film is like the most scearest film in this world, that this is like the end of the world, but no, its not!

  • @LPFANAS777 you readed?

  • i stopped the movie 9 minutes before it ended, havent seen those nine minutes yet xD

  • the concept is interesting as anavid movie fan I would hate to watch something and then have something happen afterwards right out of the movie! creepy in that aspect!

  • You Tube "LA FIN ABSOLUE DU MONDE"

A Canadian Director made his own version of LA FIN. Its really good too!

Be careful something happens to you after you watch it.

  • it sucks that they canceled this show at season 3

    :(

    :(

    :(

    :(

  • this is better than the ring

  • Sounds like The Ring combined with Ninth Gate. Could be good I guess.

  • @jamesdc60 It's different, but I don't want to tell you because I don't want to spoil it. Believe me, if you're a horror fan, you have to watch it to see the difference.

  • OMG it does look like a copy of the ring! but i'll get it anyways.

  • this trailer has like a m,illion references to the american version of Ring (the Naomi Watts one), Is it anything like it? I've been told that The Hills Run Red is essentially a copy of this too.

  • im kind of confused with the trailer.. can anyone tell me what this movie is about

  • This is great! One of my favs in the series.

  • It's The Ring.

  • @antoinette365 ring was trash.

  • Norman is soooOOoOOO flippin sexy!! <333

  • somebody know the name of the song? or the artist... (sorry for the english)

  • @fabrizionm Edward Shearmur.

  • This was truely a masterpiece. Great original idea and concept. I would of loved to be a part of this.

  • @DamienColletti

I had thought Carpenter had gone downhill since '95 or so. Boy, this piece really proved me wrong---he still has it.

Cigarette Burns had good characters, a compelling story, and not to mention it was pretty darn disturbing, too.

I have to pick this DVD up---well worth the price tag.

  • No, after watching this, he definitely hasn't! Lol. Glad you liked it too, it was definitely a great episode! My favorite one of the series! Most of these "Masters of Horror" are on Netflix by the way. That's where I saw them.

  • I LOVE NORMAN REEDUS! hes an awesome actor and hes hot

  • Not bad...You can even watch it as a freebie in HD on - Movies Ace - Com

  • Gotta see this one. Reedus was good in The Boondock Saints.

"In nomine patri, et fili, et spiritus sancti"

  • Easily the best thing John Carpentar has directed since THE THING!!

  • Good call and I agree!

  • @dionysoscub Next to "In the Mouth of Madness".

  • Best episode of the entire series.

  • @KajiCarson Totally agree!!

  • No doubt! This was great!

  • @KajiCarson I know what you mean. I loved it because it seemed to have a lot of references to H. P. Lovecraft, like how La Fin Absolue du Monde could be compared to the King in Yellow.

  • @Katana991 I hear you. Don't get me started on my passion for Lovecraft. =3

  • @KajiCarson I would put "Imprint" on the same level

  • @KajiCarson i'm not agree with you, i think pelts is a little bit better than cigarette burns but that is my opinion

  • Can anyone tell me what this white dude was supposed to be? I´m too much of a pussy to watch the movie, but still I want to know what the fuck that was!

    Thanks.

  • You have to watch it. Cigarette Burns isn't as scary as it is creepy and interesting. There are way scarier movies out there but most are not as enjoyable as this one. The white thing is an angel from heaven. Watch the movie and you'll get it.

  • the movie is about hell and heaven ect. the white guy is a angel that they cut the wings off of. you have to see the movie its amazing! norman reedus is genius!

  • Dude you are just going to have to belly up and watch it, because this little comment box can't hold enough information to explain that character.

  • lol nice I'm the 88,888 viewer. Anyway, this film looks great. I'll have to check it out.

  • muy buena la he visto.. lo maximo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Scared the Hell out of me and my granddaughter! One of the best episodes of the series!

  • cccccooooooooooolllllllllllll

  • Dude, this movie made my cells go mad. :| It was...so damn creepy. Of course, I should have expected to something like that from my favourite horror series. Stupid me! The only movie that goes beyond Masters of Horror is Eraserhead. :| That was absolutely...I cannot express it in words. :|

  • mejor un con un pekeño tributo a argento y profondo rosso

  • this is my absolute favorite of the masters of horror series. freakin awesome!!!

  • the only thing that disturbed me was the angel thing being held captive with its wings ripped off. i dunno...it was just sad and at the same time creepy.

  • my favorite one is pelts..in second place is imprint...in third place is this one

  • Interesting premise but the explanation for the film's...ah...peculiarities was weak. Still, it's worth a view.

  • I have to see this movie!!!

  • This is fairly reminiscent of "The Ring".

  • La Fin Absolue Du Monde

  • Touche

  • is that the kings of leons lead singer?

  • cool what episode is it when the birthday party then the locus come and kill them

  • Dance of the Dead.

  • The Dance of The Dead.

  • thanks a shitload i have looked everywhere

  • No problem... thats my favorite episode ever.

  • i skipped through it i was disapointed i thought the whole episode whould be about it i wattched some of it it was werid though

  • Edward Shearmur - Main Theme

  • wgats the song name at 0:24 ?

  • who gives a fuck

  • way to go jack........keep the spirit :D

  • how long does these moh movies last, is it like minimovies?

  • I think the longest one is an hour and a half, I may be mistaken though. But they're normally about an hour long.

  • ah, ok..thanks...

  • all of them are about an hour. dream cruise was extended to about an hour and a half.

  • ohhh that guy is so sexy, I could barely focus on the plot

  • The Masters of Horror series just blows. I've seen scarier shit on Melrose Place.

  • not at all have u seen takashi miikes one called imprint it was banned from tv totally crazy film man

  • Ichi the Killer is alot better

  • how do you compare this to ichi the killer? it isnt even the same...

  • i don't get it?

  • same :/

  • It's a movie about a man (Kirby) who is hired by an extremely rich, extremely bored man to find a certain film. The film the Rich Dude wants found is called, "Le Fin Absolue Du Monde" a piece reputed to cause anyone who views it to go into a killing frenzy. As Kirby gets closer to finding this film, he begins seeing these glowing rings, also known as cigarette burns which tend to appear on very old films. These said cigarette burns serve as warnings, indicating to Kirby that...TBC

  • Indicating to Kirby that he's getting closer to finding the film.

I won't give away anything else because people tend to get mauled for giving away spoilers, but if you have any other questions, just let me know on my channel.

  • wtf the circle, the movie and some scenes remind me the ring

  • The circles are just the "cigarette burns" you see on film prints. You may not notice them, but they signify a reel change. In the top right corner. The original Ring story has nothing to do with "rings" at all.

  • I'm trying to find the theme for this, and it's kind of hard. I know Cody Carpenter did the score, but it is absolutely no where to be found. Any help would be awesome.

  • I've found this theme in archive, but I can't download it! I don't know how to do it!

  • JOHN CARPENTER IS IN EVERYTHING!

    Halloween,The Thing,They Live

  • This episode was a complete rip off of Roszak's novel Flicker. Wiki it. McWeeney is big fat phoney bastard with no fucking ability at all except to stuff pizza in his open gorge he calls a mouth. Stupid mouthbreather.

  • It is so true Cigarette Burns very heavily borrows (or steals) from "Flicker". I'm surprised that fact has not been more emphasized. Nonethless, this one hour effort was strong and worth watching. The angel twist was creative, but this stab at profundity will never supplant the genuis of "Flicker", its' Sad Sewer babies, Max Castel and everything else that make Roszak's novel so incredible. Nice try, but this is only a preview of what Flicker could become in the right hands.

  • When did Flicker come out?
