  • looks more like chromium then firefox Oo

  • The only reason its fast is because it has limited features, and by limited. I mean VERY limited.

  • good os sounds like google os , looks like chrome have a lotta google apps , why google just dont purchase it ? why are they making their own os ??

  • so u are operating inside a browser what if it got hacked ?

due to increasing popularity of linux netbooks chinese hackers are targeting them now .

  • Lol, you can only get hacked if your a retard..

  • Good OS is funded and developed by google, only they won't officially announce that until they believe the OS is worthy of mass marketing.

The browser IS chrome, I've tried the beta, seen the source. This is the first you can see of Chrome for Linux!

  • I'm on the gOS team, I can actually tell you it's not developed by Google. And the browser is Firefox with a Chrome theme.

  • scottishdickhunter he says modified firefox, not chrome

  • Yes, Splashtop is available but this is limited to the Motherboard!

gOS is an 'operating system' installation

    Looks very nice!!

  • Boring... Already done by Splashtop, which is already shipping on Asus, HP, and Lenovo.... nothing new here.

  • Its strange. In the slow motion section of the video, you can see the grub boot information. It states the root partition is ntfs. But then states its loading gOS, and its a linux bz image. ..im sorry what?

Sure enough NTFS write support for linux has been on the cards for a while now, but this seems a bit bold putting it with a distro (that is of course assuming it is linux).

  • NTFS read-write has actually been fairly stable in ubuntu-based distros for some time now.

  • David Liu, Good OS CEO, only says it's a modified version of firefox...

  • oh ok so it's firefox, there is a huge confusion going on here, lot's of sites say it's chrome, where others say cloud is based on linux, so something is wrong here. I was starting to think that Cloud was based on windows because of that... geez

  • Add &fmt=22 to the url for HD video people

  • "You're controlling the entire system from the browser"...

What could possibly go wrong with that?

  • Nothing... Especially when its a stripped down linux kernel, the only ask is really to open client apps and to boot to win / shutdown.

  • "Modified form of Firefox"?

Firefox uses Gecko, Chrome uses WebKit.

    They are totally different. WTF?

  • Firefox with Chrome skin. They thought Chrome looked nicer than Firefox, Chrome has no linux version, so Firefox with a Chrome Theme added. Srsly

  • Well then that's pretty fucked up. Although I have to admit that the Chrome skin blends better with the rest of the system.

  • amazing...i hope this will be available ffree to use on any computer ass all linuxes Thanx for video
