  • Wow, If using moden technology is apostate, then I suppose the papyrus paper 2000 years ago should have been regarded an apostate act by the christians living at that time. This is a church that loves, that admonishes sin while helping the sinner rise above the sin. This is a church that genuinely cares about people. This is a church that expresses the love of God! My prayers and love are with you FRC of Traverse city!

  • Confession has already been done.when you come to place christ in your heart.

  • you are not reformed

  • This is a liberal church, stay away from it.

    This is the false gospel.

  • thats my pastor

  • Too bad they sing choruses instead of the real psalms that are inspired by God.

"All aspects of worship are live..." except the dead part?

And the preaching done in the typical gnostic way...TV.

Christianity is indeed in a sorry state when there are so few preachers that we need to franchise-via-VCR sermons.

  • Yea... I'm sure they were using those demonic vcr's back in John's day of battling the gnostics.....

  • seeker friendly.

    contemporary.

    everything truly reformed is not.

This church appears to be opposed to what is true reformed theology.

This is actually more of a country club-have fun-find a friend type of gathering.

  • Apostate in other words?

  • The most traditional parts of the tradition?

That makes a lot of sense.

Show me which part of the confessions says they are necessary for salvation.

The Confessions are what make the church Reformed.

They summarize the doctrines of the Bible. If you want to summarize the Bible in a different way find a different church. There are plenty that will let you believe whatever you want.

  • No.87:

"I suspect means, "If you believe something else other than ALL of what we believe, you're not saved""

Not at all. Reformed, Episcopalians, Orthodox, Roman Catholics that affirm faith in Jesus, both God and Man, and in the Triune God as expressed in the creeds share that hope.

The Belgic Confession and Cannons of Dort do not require your faith in THEM to be saved!
