@teniguafez yep the guy who did scars voice was about 35 at the time... he was younger than the guy who did simbas voice! but it kinda makes sence since scar is supposed to be younger than mufasa and with his scrawny appearence adding a rough voice would make him look older in my opinion... this voice is more angry and crazy with being king and less older and wise like the other versions...
this is the the best. not just because it's my country's version. the german is one of the best scar's ever. the italian is magnificent because everything sounds better in italian. but the portuguese is just... perfect. yeah .

Não tenho nada contra ela, acho até que é uma excelente dobradora, mas gostaria de ver mais talentos como o Rogério Samora e o Tó Cruz (Quasimodo) e mesmo Helena Montez (Chel - O Caminho para El Dorado)

@GMasis001 Learn portuguese. For a spanish speaker, it should only take 2 or so months. The two languages are very similiar, and a lot of sentences will end up being exactly the same. If you speak spanish, you should get 75-80% of this.

I recommend watching portuguese movies with spanish subtitles, so you can learn pronunciation and the words that are different. That's how i got spanish, took me around 2-3 months. Boa sorte!
Depends, what's your dialect of spanish? If it's European spanish, Learn European Portuguese, if it's Latin american spanish, learn brazilian portuguese. This version is euro portuguese, but it doesnt really matter which version you pick, they're both the same language, with a different accent and a few different words.

@GMasis001 did you heard the two versions? if you do you can perfectly see the difference in the accent... a good thing of being portuguese is that you can speek brazilian, spanich, mexican and other languages, also most of the portuguese people can speek english and french.
Can someone explain me, why are the lyrics of Brazilian and Portugal versions are ALMOST the SAME? I mean, I know that languages are really close, but it was dubbed in different countries, wtf? Take a look on Czech and Slovak ones. These languages are even closer, but lyrics are totally different.

@TheJamesDM both Brazil and Portugal use Portuguese as their language the only difference is the accent so is normal that the lyrics are exacly the same because the two countries use the exact same language but have different accent's is a bit like the english spoken in the U.K. and the english spoken in the U.S.(since they have the same language but have different accent's) i really don't see any problem with the last lines what he says is "neither mufasa nor simba but me will be king"
@icedust7 What I meant about the last lines: he says "neither mufasa nor simba lalala", then he sings "i'll be king", then hyenas are saying completely different thing, and the final is "prepare", I guess.
Ie, rhyme is pretty much off.
Most of the versions are saying the same lines twice "Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared, Be Prepared!" - then chorus repeats this with final "Be Prepared" line.

Take a look at Czech and Slovak. They´re almost the same, but still, they are two separate languages. And dubbings of this song are completely different in these two languages. The lyrics, I mean.
So, this leads me to conclusion, that somebody "stolen" the translation of someone.

Speakers between the two dialects have little difficutly in communication, perhaps only when an older portuguese speaker speaks with a younger brazilian, but this is the same with British and American English. Please, do not make comments on a language you can not speak.

Euro Portuguese is closer for my understanding, cause it looks easier to speak. Some people say that it´s annoying, cause it has SH sounds, but I think that this is bullshit.
Yap, both countries speak portuguese, but with different accents. Both countries want to dub them to employ people, create an industry, simple as that.
@TheJamesDM Because the Portuguese version was considered by Disney the best adaptation of the song from the English and therefore the Brazilian version was based upon it.
You probably won't notice, but because of that, there are passages in the Brazilian version that don't make much sense. The basic language is the same BUT the way of speaking is quite different. The way they grammatically construct sentences is different. We understand them...they not always understand us ;)
@TheJamesDM actually it's because this was the first animated feature film dubbed in european portuguese. until Lion King all the Disney and animated films where dubbed in brazillian portuguese. In Lion King, the portuguese studios "ask" for help to the brazillian studios, and actually, the entire movie have almost the same lines in eu. portuguese and braz. portuguese, with difference only in the accent.
@TheJamesDM If I'm not mistaken, the guy who did this dub is born in 1958 wich made him 35 when he dubbed scar. The brazilian dubber is considerably older.
@TheJamesDM This guy is a very good actor, he souns more natural than the brazilian guy. None of them are very good singers, this one just talks and the other one sings with too much staccato. I do think the brazilian one has a better voice, since he sounds older and has a deeper sound, but he is a bit wrong for the character. I still think the English, Hungarian, German, Danish, Polish and Dutch guys are much better in keeping with the character.

Esta é a melhor versão d todas, sem duvida! A italiana está muito boa e adoro ouvi-la, mas Portugal tem dos melhores dubradores do mundo, isso facultou este explêndido trabalho. O Rei Leão é um magnifico filme, q merece toda a reverência e dignos aplausos de todos nós, pelo desenvolvimento destes dois grandiosos filmes (O Rei Leao 1, e o 2) pondo d parte o 3º. Mas com a sumptuosa capacidade d Portugal, isto ficou efectivamente sublime e aparatoso! É com grande aprazimento poder fruir disto! 7**
Be Prepared em qualquer versão é perfeita. Essa versão de Portugal está linda demais, mas PRA MIM a versão brasileira é muito ÉPICA. Principalmente a risada final, deu um tom mais assustador e imponente no Scar.
Tudo bem que em termos de voz para o Scar pode ser discutível qual a melhor, eu pessoalmente tenho como preferidas a portuguesa, a brasileira, a francesa e a inglesa.
No entanto, há uma coisa em que a nossa versão, é a melhor, sem sombra de dúvida. Estou a falar do coro. Na nossa versão deram um toque brutal ao coro, está mesmo assustador, principalmente na parte final, quando o Scar começa com o "Bem premeditado [...]", oiçam bem essa parte e comparem com outras versões, aqui reinamos!

LOL desculpa mas não mesmo, o Rogério Samora tem uma voz bem mais elegante e melódica que a porcaria da brasileira.
Só no início então está horrível, o Scar fala super devagar e atrasa-se várias vezes em relação à melodia. Uma coisa em que tenho vindo a reparar nas dobragens brasileiras é que apesar de falarem devagar tentam sempre encaixar frases demasiado grandes em curtos períodos de tempo o que muitas vezes compromete a performance dos atores ^^'
Eu sou português e acho que a versão de Português de Portugal está muito bem conseguida. Aliás, todos os filmes de desenhos animados desta categoria têm vozes excelentes, enquadram na perfeição as personagens.
Por acaso não gostei da versão brasileira nesta parte. Falta um bocado mais de intencidade e autenticidade. Mas também o português do brasil é muito mais "carinhoso" por assim dizer e custa muito quando é pedido para retratar uma personagem mais fria como o Scar.
Na verdade não detenho a idea de q esta é a melhor versão q existe, pois hà outras q podem nitidamente igualar-se a este nivel, como por exemplo a Italiana e Francesa, q disfrutam de umas glorificas e magnificas vozes. No meu sincero parecer, esta e sem qualquer duvida, superior à versão Brazileira e não vale a pena hexitar pelas irregularidades dos gostos brazileiros. Eu tenho plena concordância na afirmação de esta ser uma versão extraordinária e a preferivel, pra mim diante d todas as outras.

O problema é que vocês usam sempre a expressão "você" que é sempre seguida pela conjugação do verbo na 3ª pessoa do singular, daí ESTRANHARES quando alguém escreve "METERES" ou "VÊS"
Prefiro a versão brasileira. Jorge Ramos fez um trabalho incrível. A voz dele realmente me fez sentir medo (quando era pequena, claro ._.') já a versão portuguesa não tem emoção. Na minha opinião.
Mas sem comparação com a dublagem original. Mil vezes melhor.

bem eu quando ouço esta música simplesmente fico orgulhosa de ser portuguesa.
o rogerio samora, na minha opinião, interpretou maravilhosamente o scar, pois a voz dele transmite raiva. raiva esta que cresceu ao longo dos anos, desde criança, quando se sentia em segundo plano, até agora, que desconsolado, vira o seu sobrinho ficar à sua frente na posse do trono.

A Entrepertação é perfeita, consegue transmitir as situações e sentimentos das personagens consuante o desenrolar do filme.
Comparando a prestação do Scar em Brasileiro e Português, sem duvida prefiro português porque quem vê consegue sentir o que a personagem sente e isso é muito bom.
Este filme é qualquer coisa de genial... E eu, nesta parte, ficava cheiinha de medo porra LOOOL grande rogerio samora... Ainda me da aquela vontade de lhe dar uma sapatada ! :D

Eu ainda prefiro a brasileira, mas (antes que vocês me matem ou me encham de negativos) acho que cada versão tem um scar diferente. O brasileiro é mais sádico e irônico. O de Portugal me parece ter mais raiva nele.

A versão brasileira é muito mais sombria o que faz com que o Scar convença muito mais como vilão...
A versão lusitana é interessante, porém o Brasil realmente impressiona com suas dublagens perfeitas, que em muitas vezes supera inclusive a versão original em inglês e não é para menos que os brasileiros foram eleitos os melhores do mundo em dublagens.
Meu caro as nossas dobragens também já ganharam prémios dados pela própria Disney por termos feito a melhor dobragem a nivel mundial como é o caso do prémio de melhor versão do filme o corcunda de notre dame.
E só para nota de rodapé o filme "O Rei Leão" foi o primeiro filme da Disney a ser dobrado para português de Portugal e para primeira tentativa pessoalmente acho que não nos saímos mal...

Realmente, a versão ficou muito bacana. Em geral eu estranho um pouco o sotaque/acento, mas gostei nessa versão. A voz do Scar tem um tom meio sarcástico, combinou com ele.

I recommend watching portuguese movies with spanish subtitles, so you can learn pronunciation and the words that are different. That's how i got spanish, took me around 2-3 months. Boa sorte!

Depends, what's your dialect of spanish? If it's European spanish, Learn European Portuguese, if it's Latin american spanish, learn brazilian portuguese. This version is euro portuguese, but it doesnt really matter which version you pick, they're both the same language, with a different accent and a few different words.

Can someone explain me, why are the lyrics of Brazilian and Portugal versions are ALMOST the SAME? I mean, I know that languages are really close, but it was dubbed in different countries, wtf? Take a look on Czech and Slovak ones. These languages are even closer, but lyrics are totally different.
And what's up with the last lines? Maybe it's me, but I can't see any rhyme there.
I really like this version, and, the strange thing - the last lines. When he says something about Mufasa and Simba.

@TheJamesDM both Brazil and Portugal use Portuguese as their language the only difference is the accent so is normal that the lyrics are exacly the same because the two countries use the exact same language but have different accent's is a bit like the english spoken in the U.K. and the english spoken in the U.S.(since they have the same language but have different accent's) i really don't see any problem with the last lines what he says is "neither mufasa nor simba but me will be king"

@icedust7 What I meant about the last lines: he says "neither mufasa nor simba lalala", then he sings "i'll be king", then hyenas are saying completely different thing, and the final is "prepare", I guess.
Ie, rhyme is pretty much off.
Most of the versions are saying the same lines twice "Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared, Be Prepared!" - then chorus repeats this with final "Be Prepared" line.
Got it?

@alinepoirot I´m sorry, how is this the same language? Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese are similar and almost the same, but still, they have many differences and can´t be called "the same language".
Take a look at Czech and Slovak. They´re almost the same, but still, they are two separate languages. And dubbings of this song are completely different in these two languages. The lyrics, I mean.
So, this leads me to conclusion, that somebody "stolen" the translation of someone.

Speakers between the two dialects have little difficutly in communication, perhaps only when an older portuguese speaker speaks with a younger brazilian, but this is the same with British and American English. Please, do not make comments on a language you can not speak.

Dialects of the same language. American english and British english. Euro portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese.

Euro Portuguese is closer for my understanding, cause it looks easier to speak. Some people say that it´s annoying, cause it has SH sounds, but I think that this is bullshit.

@TheJamesDM Because the Portuguese version was considered by Disney the best adaptation of the song from the English and therefore the Brazilian version was based upon it.
You probably won't notice, but because of that, there are passages in the Brazilian version that don't make much sense. The basic language is the same BUT the way of speaking is quite different. The way they grammatically construct sentences is different. We understand them...they not always understand us ;)

@TheJamesDM actually it's because this was the first animated feature film dubbed in european portuguese. until Lion King all the Disney and animated films where dubbed in brazillian portuguese. In Lion King, the portuguese studios "ask" for help to the brazillian studios, and actually, the entire movie have almost the same lines in eu. portuguese and braz. portuguese, with difference only in the accent.

@TheJamesDM This guy is a very good actor, he souns more natural than the brazilian guy. None of them are very good singers, this one just talks and the other one sings with too much staccato. I do think the brazilian one has a better voice, since he sounds older and has a deeper sound, but he is a bit wrong for the character. I still think the English, Hungarian, German, Danish, Polish and Dutch guys are much better in keeping with the character.

Esta é a melhor versão d todas, sem duvida! A italiana está muito boa e adoro ouvi-la, mas Portugal tem dos melhores dubradores do mundo, isso facultou este explêndido trabalho. O Rei Leão é um magnifico filme, q merece toda a reverência e dignos aplausos de todos nós, pelo desenvolvimento destes dois grandiosos filmes (O Rei Leao 1, e o 2) pondo d parte o 3º. Mas com a sumptuosa capacidade d Portugal, isto ficou efectivamente sublime e aparatoso! É com grande aprazimento poder fruir disto! 7**

Be Prepared em qualquer versão é perfeita. Essa versão de Portugal está linda demais, mas PRA MIM a versão brasileira é muito ÉPICA. Principalmente a risada final, deu um tom mais assustador e imponente no Scar.

Tudo bem que em termos de voz para o Scar pode ser discutível qual a melhor, eu pessoalmente tenho como preferidas a portuguesa, a brasileira, a francesa e a inglesa.
No entanto, há uma coisa em que a nossa versão, é a melhor, sem sombra de dúvida. Estou a falar do coro. Na nossa versão deram um toque brutal ao coro, está mesmo assustador, principalmente na parte final, quando o Scar começa com o "Bem premeditado [...]", oiçam bem essa parte e comparem com outras versões, aqui reinamos!

Que briga besta. As tradução ficou igualzinha em português de Portugal e do Brasil, só muda a voz. Acho normal que cada um goste mais da voz com a qual está acostumado. LOL desculpa mas não mesmo, o Rogério Samora tem uma voz bem mais elegante e melódica que a porcaria da brasileira.
Só no início então está horrível, o Scar fala super devagar e atrasa-se várias vezes em relação à melodia. Uma coisa em que tenho vindo a reparar nas dobragens brasileiras é que apesar de falarem devagar tentam sempre encaixar frases demasiado grandes em curtos períodos de tempo o que muitas vezes compromete a performance dos atores ^^'

Eu sou português e acho que a versão de Português de Portugal está muito bem conseguida. Aliás, todos os filmes de desenhos animados desta categoria têm vozes excelentes, enquadram na perfeição as personagens.
Por acaso não gostei da versão brasileira nesta parte. Falta um bocado mais de intencidade e autenticidade. Mas também o português do brasil é muito mais "carinhoso" por assim dizer e custa muito quando é pedido para retratar uma personagem mais fria como o Scar.

Na verdade não detenho a idea de q esta é a melhor versão q existe, pois hà outras q podem nitidamente igualar-se a este nivel, como por exemplo a Italiana e Francesa, q disfrutam de umas glorificas e magnificas vozes. No meu sincero parecer, esta e sem qualquer duvida, superior à versão Brazileira e não vale a pena hexitar pelas irregularidades dos gostos brazileiros. Eu tenho plena concordância na afirmação de esta ser uma versão extraordinária e a preferivel, pra mim diante d todas as outras.

Para aqueles que questionam qual a melhor versão, acho que é a portuguesa, porque sou português, lol. Não, acho a lingua portuguesa das mais belas de se ouvir, mas os brasileiros deveriam ter orgulho em portugal e não esse tédio, que nos leva a pensar, por consequêcia, mal deles e até do seu sotaque. Penso que não seja só a voz resposável por essa excelente qualidade musical, mas sim da lingua portuguesa ser tão harmoniosa. Bons cantores existe em todos os paises.

Prefiro a versão brasileira. Jorge Ramos fez um trabalho incrível. A voz dele realmente me fez sentir medo (quando era pequena, claro ._.') já a versão portuguesa não tem emoção. Na minha opinião.
Mas sem comparação com a dublagem original. Mil vezes melhor.

Estão ótimas as músicas de Portugal (Já elogiei em outros videos, se duvidas é só comparar), mas nesta música eu prefiro a brasileira (isso não é só porque sou brasileiro... tá bom, admito, vou puxar a sardinha pro lado do meu país! XD).
Mas falando sério, eu acho que o coral desta música no Brasil ficou muito melhor, parece que tem mais gente, sei lá... Comparem a versão brasileira pra verem. Mas essa música também tá muito boa!

bem eu quando ouço esta música simplesmente fico orgulhosa de ser portuguesa.
o rogerio samora, na minha opinião, interpretou maravilhosamente o scar, pois a voz dele transmite raiva. raiva esta que cresceu ao longo dos anos, desde criança, quando se sentia em segundo plano, até agora, que desconsolado, vira o seu sobrinho ficar à sua frente na posse do trono.

A Entrepertação é perfeita, consegue transmitir as situações e sentimentos das personagens consuante o desenrolar do filme.
Comparando a prestação do Scar em Brasileiro e Português, sem duvida prefiro português porque quem vê consegue sentir o que a personagem sente e isso é muito bom.

Eu ainda prefiro a brasileira, mas (antes que vocês me matem ou me encham de negativos) acho que cada versão tem um scar diferente. O brasileiro é mais sádico e irônico. O de Portugal me parece ter mais raiva nele.

Mesmo assim a versão Alemã é a que me arrepia mais nesta parte, principalmente apartir do minuto 1:30... a verdade é que cresci a ver o Rei leão vezes sem conta e sempre mas sempre tinha medo do Scar nesta musica mas eu também era xavalo que tinha medo do E.T e do Krang das Tartarugas Ninja xD

ADORO ouvir a voz do Rogerio Samora como voz do Scar! Eu acho que acenta-lhe tão mas TÃO bem!! Para alem de que adoro o Rogerio =) Muito bom trabalho!

A versão brasileira é muito mais sombria o que faz com que o Scar convença muito mais como vilão...
A versão lusitana é interessante, porém o Brasil realmente impressiona com suas dublagens perfeitas, que em muitas vezes supera inclusive a versão original em inglês e não é para menos que os brasileiros foram eleitos os melhores do mundo em dublagens.

Meu caro as nossas dobragens também já ganharam prémios dados pela própria Disney por termos feito a melhor dobragem a nivel mundial como é o caso do prémio de melhor versão do filme o corcunda de notre dame.
E só para nota de rodapé o filme "O Rei Leão" foi o primeiro filme da Disney a ser dobrado para português de Portugal e para primeira tentativa pessoalmente acho que não nos saímos mal...

@icedust7 não sabia que O Rei Leão tinha sido o primeiro a ser "dobrado" (aqui no Brasil a gente fala "dublado") pra português de Portugal.
Realmente, a versão ficou muito bacana. Em geral eu estranho um pouco o sotaque/acento, mas gostei nessa versão. A voz do Scar tem um tom meio sarcástico, combinou com ele.
Já ouviu a versão em Português brasileiro? A letra é muito parecida.

Isso já foi há mt tempo, meu caro. Hoje em dia, as dobragens lusitanas costumam ser colocadas entre as três melhores do mundo inteiro. Está comprovado.
