With that being said, I'd be somewhat offended if today's artists would be bold enough to start remaking one Temptation classic after another. Some songs need to be well enough left alone...like this one.
Under almost every video where it plays music from the 70's, 80's and even the 90's, someone always leaves a comment about how today's music is "garbage". Now I'd be the first to admit that music from prior decades, especially R&B, just seemed to have more soul. But to over-generalize and say today's music is garbage is just an expression of one preference for a generation of music over another. I don't think it's entirely fair to diss today's music in general...though Motown stands alone.

I love this song, I love all their songs. I can't get enough of the classics. But it's annoying to hear phrases such as young people don't know music, or music ain't like it used to be. It's be known that these things were said through all times, including the periods of these classics. This is music of maturity and the youngsters will be led back to it anyway. Motown brought out the biggest entertainers! There will never be another Temptations, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Teena Marie, Aretha Franklin, ect. ect. Back then you HAD to have talent! I miss that. I'm 19 & our generation of music is dreadful!

With that being said, I'd be somewhat offended if today's artists would be bold enough to start remaking one Temptation classic after another. Some songs need to be well enough left alone...like this one.

Under almost every video where it plays music from the 70's, 80's and even the 90's, someone always leaves a comment about how today's music is "garbage". Now I'd be the first to admit that music from prior decades, especially R&B, just seemed to have more soul. But to over-generalize and say today's music is garbage is just an expression of one preference for a generation of music over another. I don't think it's entirely fair to diss today's music in general...though Motown stands alone.

Thanx Runcos for this !!! The Temptations were universal in appeal. I miss this music. I remember as a kid color meant nothing. I am white, and all us white kids loved black music just as much, and sometimes more than white music. This is Premium sound!

Really love this song. One of the best songs The Temptations ever did! Eddie and David killed it. It is so lovely. I am relaxed when I hear this song. Music doesn't sound like this anymore. I miss it. I am 30 years old, born 1980. I truly love the classics a lot more than today's music.

Wow I guess forgot David wasn't in the group anymore in the early 70s. I forgot. Thanks for clearing that for me. It did sound like David though, lol. Oh well...I still love this song. I love this song, I love all their songs. I can't get enough of the classics. But it's annoying to hear phrases such as young people don't know music, or music ain't like it used to be. It's be known that these things were said through all times, including the periods of these classics. This is music of maturity and the youngsters will be led back to it anyway. It will start hitting their deepest souls whence the widsom of these songs speaks to their painful experience of heart aches.
