  • I hope his nads were shot off and he bled to death from it

  • wow...thank god that guy jason was went in there...the honeybee killer would have definelty killed the girl and jason

  • that man is a hero

  • this happened not 2 far away from me, this off duty cop is a bad ass , i'm glad he went tanning that day!

  • Very fast thinking on his feet, Jason's bravery has saved countless others who could have been victims of this creep had he got away. And now that he's gone, maybe other crimes will be solved besides the bee keeper's death. Yea, Jason!!!

  • fat tub of whale shit is burning in hell now.

  • Wow You are a brave man. Great job in saving lives. Including your own. One less evil scum walking this earth.

  • Jason, props to you ! Wish u well.

  • pffft! and they say guidos are good for nothing ;)

  • One less fat piece of shit in the world.

  • Great robbery attempt, you fat fuck.

  • so he shot an unarmed man....

  • @amieeteegarden

What's you point? You have been watching too many movies.

  • @amieeteegarden

Yes, he shot an "unarmed man" who, earlier, tried to rob the store armed with a gun with the possibility of wanting to kill his victims.

And, the "unarmed man" struggled against one of his victims to get the gun back rather than surrender.

For the victim, it was either shoot the robber or let him get the gun back. Unfortunately for that "unarmed man," that's not a very hard choice for his victim to make.

  • @amieeteegarden The guy he shot was over three hundred pounds. He could have easily taken control back. Why would anyone disagree with the way things turned out. You cannot say shit because you were not in that situation. Those two people were facing certain danger or even death. I say good job. Now we don't have to pay thousands of dollars to prosecute and jail the guy. You live by the gun you die by the gun!

  • Jason is a hero, and l hope that fat piece of shit is burning in hell.

  • what they said!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I live by newton and Benton county, does anyone here know laffyette or monticello I lived those places too I go to Indiana beach every summer :)

  • I live in Indiana I also live by newton, Benton, And

  • GREAT JOB JASON!!! Glad to see some people can think under pressure!!!

  • when the suspect first started the spree when he shot a farmer and 2 other guys... that was in my town n my school when on lockdown no lie i swear

  • @NHYHNable yes she did do a great job in explaining the situation considering the circumstance she was in.I think also I heard Jason in the background asking where the police were.He had to know when they arrived so he could put the gun on the floor.

  • hey I did listen to the 911 call -- that girl is a hero too. I would've run like a "girl" out of there first chance I got, but she walked the cops through the situation, explaining that the customer had the gun, the robber was down, probably saving McDaniel from a violent encounter with the cops. Cops seemed to handle it well too, getting all necessary information before charging them with guns blazing.

Serial killer dead, everyone else home safe and sound -- Merry Christmas everyone.

  • One of the reasons this didn’t get the attention it deserved, troubling sign of the times: I don’t think this guy could have been any classier or modest in his interviews. Most guys captured on film looking this heroic would be crowing about it like “the Situation”. McDaniel said he was just happy to get home to his little girl that night, happy that the girl in this video got home to her parents. I think that’s what makes him a real hero-and why you will probably never hear about him again

  • i just heard the 911 call of this encounter.Just Google"L.A. Tan robbery 911 call. It's on the Daily Journal Of Kankakee's website.Very chilling.

  • The news reported there was a struggle.I see no evidence of any kind of struggle.Jason completely overwhelmed the gunman after he got the gun.He first hit the gunman with the weapon, knocking him down.A 330lb. man doesn't move very well,so you can easily land a punch on him.I'm somewhat surprised that Jason didn't kick him while he was on the floor.Maybe the punch with the gun was so powerful it disabled him.Jason had total control of that situation before the police arrived.I think the reason h

  • I think a lot of the lack of attention has to do with the name -- "Honey bee killer" doesn't grab your attention, or the attention of the media. If the name coined by the media was the "head-eating cannibal killer", Jason McDaniel would have a movie deal by now.

  • @NHYHNable I think you're right about that. Perhaps he is shying away from the spotlight, & I would respect his privacy, but I think a lot of people are amazed by his quick-wittedness & want to show him how great we think he is. There is a book, "The Gift of Fear," and he seems to have it. He couldn't have known the Honeybee Killer would bend over to pick up the rope, & he was right there, when that split second made a difference.

  • The most amazing thing about this is the lack of attention it has received. As far as I know, this is the only footage of a serial killer being killed by an unarmed citizen while the killer is in the act of trying to commit another serial killing. That girl, and the girl in the back, were in for a long night.

  • dude, my uncle works with this psychos dad. holy shit thats creepy

  • Good for you Jason! Don't feel any remorse or regret...you did nothing worse than spray chemicals on a roach, man, and you saved that girl. Have a good christmas.

  • Nicely done Jason. The world needs more brave souls like you brother.

  • good riddance

  • Another scumbag removed from the streets, gj Jason.

  • Anyone know Jason McDaniel's background? He responded like he's a trained police officer, SWAT member, or possibly he has military training. If not, it is truly remarkable how quickly he responded when he had a few short seconds to get control of the situation. You are one brave dude, Jason ~ great instincts. I love a happy ending.

  • @GraceBela1 he's an ex force recon marine, staff sergeant

  • @1488slav Thanks, I knew he acted like he was professionally trained. He appears fit, too, like someone who works out. (By the appearance of his neck.) I have watched the vid many times, gave the link to others, one of whom is my brother who's a real law & order type guy & he loved it. His comment, "Man, 330 pounds - I would have shot the bastard also. And with his own gun - it makes it better." I hope we see Jason on all kinds of talk shows. Not often do we see the good guy win.

  • Jason McDaniel For Mayor of Chicago!

  • Jason, there are many people extremely proud of you for your act of courage. It's unknown how many lives you saved that day. You're a true American!

  • Troy TROY TROY

  • Jason..your a hero! The world needs more people like you.
