I have so much make up now, well big in my opinion, I had the ability to rotate my make up supply while I was at school because I live down the street and now I've been working so I've been going for a 5 minute routine this whole summer and now I have to go through my make up collection to figure out what to take with me to france haha

My biggest obstacle is doing my eyeshadow with hooded eyelids. I feel like 95% of youtube gurus makeup tutorials don't help me, because the application doesn't fit my eye shape. Luckily, there are makeup artists I can find that DO have hooded eyelids :)
FML lol But I think it's because I've improved so much with my make up that I became reallllllly good at my everyday look...and it's sorta just what I stick with, since I'm more of a minimalist (with a look, cuz I still end up using a million products for a simple natural look LOL)

Emaily I love your videos and because of you I know how to use/ apply makeup and afford to buy because you introduce to us the drug store make up is one of the best options if we cannot buy high end makeup. I totally agree with U about the "auto pilot". I always applied my foundation& then of course powder. Well...1 day I left OFF the powder& omg I got so many compliments from "U look way better without powder, U don't need powder, U can see your blush better with no powder 2 U look less oily b/c I wasn't using powder.I got so many compliments & I also seen the difference!!.So ya...I agree don't get stuck on AutoPilot. another way to vary your products without spending ANY money would be to get samples. you can go to makeup counters and ask for a sample of a certain foundation, i myself have gotten a chanel and mac foundation sample:)
@rinonvid tools you buy cheap will wear more often and effectively be more expensive in the long run but makeup you can find cheap at the same quality as high end so I say tools!
When im practecing my makeup when i have nowhere to go, i do one look on one eye and a different look on the other eye. That way i can see side by side which one i like better (:
I actually HATE taking pictures, but since I don't feel my makeup looks as good as it should, I may just try that. Thanks, I'd never thought about doing that. =)

i love the fact that you use Drug store products most of the time to do tutorials! sometimes its hard to afford expensive makeup even though store products do the same! I allow myself about an hour to do my makeup, because it's very Therapudic to me. I could have the worst day in the world.. and come home take off my makeup and re-apply it because that's what calms me down and makes me happy. :)

My biggest obstacle is doing my eyeshadow with hooded eyelids. I feel like 95% of youtube gurus makeup tutorials don't help me, because the application doesn't fit my eye shape. Luckily, there are makeup artists I can find that DO have hooded eyelids :)

FML lol But I think it's because I've improved so much with my make up that I became reallllllly good at my everyday look...and it's sorta just what I stick with, since I'm more of a minimalist (with a look, cuz I still end up using a million products for a simple natural look LOL)

Emaily I love your videos and because of you I know how to use/ apply makeup and afford to buy because you introduce to us the drug store make up is one of the best options if we cannot buy high end makeup. I was thinking that you should write a book about how you learned make up without going to school and share your experiences with different make up brand using a daily life.

Great-Great-Great Video!!! Thank You!!! I'm just really getting into makeup. So I've been randomly viewing videos on youtube to get ideas and opinions (reviews). Some I've found pretty useful... I've also checked out different brands of makeup in drugstores, Target, Wal-Mart and Sephora for ideas. Although I have not purchased anything real serious (brushes, foundation etc.) - I feel the ADVICE you've shared in this video IS VERY HELPFUL for anyone like myself. Thanks again!!!:o)

I totally agree with U about the "auto pilot". I always applied my foundation& then of course powder. Well...1 day I left OFF the powder& omg I got so many compliments from "U look way better without powder, U don't need powder, U can see your blush better with no powder 2 U look less oily b/c I wasn't using powder.I got so many compliments & I also seen the difference!!.So ya...I agree don't get stuck on AutoPilot. Try new things.Like me!Foundation&no poweder-just blush/bonzers?Try new things

another way to vary your products without spending ANY money would be to get samples. you can go to makeup counters and ask for a sample of a certain foundation, i myself have gotten a chanel and mac foundation sample:)

@rinonvid tools you buy cheap will wear more often and effectively be more expensive in the long run but makeup you can find cheap at the same quality as high end so I say tools!

When im practecing my makeup when i have nowhere to go, i do one look on one eye and a different look on the other eye. That way i can see side by side which one i like better (:

Emily: a. These were great tips and b. I love how your presentations are always at a high intellectual level ( I mean I know it is all about makeup which is pretty frivolous but that's what we're all here for). you don't skimp on the vocabulary and you use proper English. You think things trough and are able to articulate your thoughts...LOVE you.

i love the fact that you use Drug store products most of the time to do tutorials! sometimes its hard to afford expensive makeup even though store products do the same! Its nice to look at a video and know that i can afford makeup that you use without feeling stress because you cant get it or afford it!Love your videos!Thanks and keep doing what your doing and dont change!

I allow myself about an hour to do my makeup, because it's very Therapudic to me. I could have the worst day in the world.. and come home take off my makeup and re-apply it because that's what calms me down and makes me happy. :)
