Oh my God seeing this movie again makes me wanna cry. I used to watch it all the time with my mom when i was a kid. Now I married (at the age of 21) and moved overseas. I feel like I can see my mom and dad while watching this scene. Sigh, wow man. *sniff sniff*

I love how this movie shows a fathers love for a daughter. How up until she finds the man she wants to marry, the father is the most important man in her life. How the daughter is one of the most special women in his life and then ultimatly how the father has to come to terms with giving her up to another man, because he loves her so much. Its a shame father/daughter relationships are being broken down so much in the 21st century.

Una niñata adinerada (aunque en la película se quiera dar a entender que son una familia media) a la que se le ha metido en el coño casarse por todo lo alto, dándole igual que el padre no tenga dinero suficiente, o que le vaya a producir una úlcera con tanto estrés.

We danced to this song off this soundtrack for the Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dance at the reception and just like the movie when we got home after our reception we popped in the CD and danced to this song in our living room 5 hours before we had to be up for our Hawaiian honeymoon. What a great memory and movie!

I was very lucky last week to see Steve Tyrell (who sings "Just the way you look tonight") perform at the Cafe Carlyle in NYC. What a show!!! He is one of a handful of singers who sounds just the same live as he does on recording.
