  • Forgot ken had a fright stuff page

  • @deepwater909 @deepwater909 hmmm, I wonder why whenever you get a frightstuff blank, it comes with a COA proving that it was created by the movie mold for the original friday the 13th part 3.... hmmmm. AND it's signed by Ken proving he used the mold to make it.

  • I bought a mask painted up by clownation, its a freddy vs jason style and its awesome

  • if you have a mask on too long time, is it so toxic or something?

    I love the masks!

  • hey ken big fan i was wondering wats a good company for the plastic to oder for decent price im not trying to destroy business by any means but as a fellow artist im making my own from all movies for my shrine so to speak just as a personal satisfaction of i did it myself ya know im not a concerned with screen acracy so any advice would be great because u cant really do part 8 with part 3 mold ya know

  • what kind of paint would u reccomend when painting the mask?

  • was your original mask worn by a Red Wing ?? are there pics of the ORIGINAL mask ?? I would love to see THE original

  • the shape of the mask was an original sculpt the hole placement was done seperately the mask refrenced hasnt been seen since then and the screenused mask has long since been destroyed

  • Just got a part VI frightstuff mask and let me tell you people that it doesnt get more accurate than this. If your on a budget then I would suggest getting a blank then doing the work yourself since the blank kits are very reasonably prices.

  • why no painted masks? =/

  • the painted markings are copyrights of newline cinema

  • @sidchimaera u can get painted ones from artists and members of the frightstuff forums, the theme of having blank masks is so you can do it yourself. ;)

  • Hey man great mask I have just one question. Why does your mask look different than the one in the movie? I'm not trying to start anything just wondering the only thing that sticks out to me is the shape. It doesn't look as rounded so to say as the movie or as thin. It looked like it wrapped more around the head... Is that the camera angle?

  • the mask is exact size and shape of the movie, the originals were a little thinner which I offer, so it wraps around the head better like in the movie, every mark is in my masks from the movie...

    Thanks

    Ken

  • @frightstuff hey ken! i just wanna ask u something, what was it like being a prop designer on part 3? its amazing that i have a movie mold mask with ur signature on it

  • please tell me that you guys are planning on keeping this buisness for a while i want to buy one but i have to save up ..i also dont know how to paint it

  • we are gonna be around for a long time

  • this was ment for jasonrulz13

  • Guys, these blanks are the real deal. I work with Ken and it doesn't get any closer than this. We are all lucky that Ken is making them available to purchase. If you're a hardcore F13 fan, this is a no brainer!

  • i have a question, why would a company like newline own all the mask accept for the part 3? i would think they would want to own everything that has to do with jason..

  • Newline and other production companies own the marks (Trademarks)of all the shows, That is why I only sell unpainted blank kits, I own the mask per say they own all the likeness (painted version of the movie it portrayed and the identifying marks like the chevrons). that is why people who sell painted masks will get C&D letters from Newline and a like.

  • So you do not own the rights to the other movies you didn't make masks for then. I have seen screen style hockey masks on the internet for years.

It may bbe different in hollywood, but in my line of work I get payedto produce aluminum parts for larger companys. They pay us to design and then proto the part, then produce. We can't just stake claim to the deisng and start selling the parts to other companies.

  • correct, I only own the part 3 blank... most of the masks you have seen online over the years came from people copying masks i gave away back in 1988, when we did a convention back then for part 7..

  • So your blanks come from a part seven then, not a part 3 mold. You can't really take take credit for all the makss out there. There was many people involved in making these I assume. So why not go after the people who made masks for the other films since they were allegdly ripping off from your mask.

  • I don't take credit for all masks that's is absurd. And

no my blanks are from the part 3 mold which I created, I have been doing special effects for 28 years all you have to do is google my name.. I only take credit for the part 3 blank it just happens all the other movies used a copy of the mask.. I only go after people who steal from me by copying what I myself created.. and it seams most re-casters are the ones who ask all these questions when it is publicly available....

  • Snap the man who masked the legend! thanks! so how much are blanks?

  • fuck you. Dude you have no idea, ken's site is the best and his masks are the best and if you have no proof to back yourself up with then you might as well SHUT THE FUCK UP.

    Scincerly,

    man behind the mask

  • Own the rights to what? The hockey mask?

  • Yes New Line only owns the right to the painting and their marks.. I own the rights to the mask I made for the movie..

  • this is painful to read people are stubborn on you know ken i think this one wouldnt believe you if you produced an official document stating you made the original and you own the rights

  • It is always funny how people who want to make waves are people with no profiles and hide behind their keyboards.. most likely a child

  • ok don't worry about him, he is probably one of the many people recasting my blanks and trying to push it as his own...

  • ken is like everyone tryin to make a buck out here...

  • Killfourme,

I make more money in one day then 3 months making masks.. I don't need your statements.. Martin Becker was my boss back then.. Not Doug White, Doug did do a lot of work on the mask.. after we molded it... he is a Makeup fx man I am a Special Effects man dig difference... I am only posting because people need to know the truth.. I have been in contact with one of the writers of the CLM book to discuss a interview...take your comments elsewere

  • @killfourme look whos thinking hes all tough, a guy that just has favourites on his channel and no uploads, my channel is probably 1 year younger than urs and i have like 25. now go eat a cyanide pill.

  • Mr. Tarallo is not even mentioned in the book or the credits in the film. I am just saying that Doug White specifically recalls the making of the mask in the book. It is also mentioned in the book by David Grove.

  • newline owns all

  • @killfourme and you own your boyfriends penis

  • Actually if you did your research Martin Becker was "THE BOSS" of the effects group. Read the book.

  • newline owns this..

  • @killfourme dude can you really hate frightstuff this much? I mean what has it done to you, insult your boyfriend?

  • I though Doug White made the mask. It said so in The Crystal Lake Memories book.

  • by the way ken cool machine =D

    -utubeslasher

  • you know im not sure he gets it this is THE mask if you think its cheap then get this and a fiberglass mask drop them off the roof of a tall building if the fiberglass mask fares better then shoot me

  • Why wouldn't you like the real thing. You like the thick nonscreen accurate fiberglass copies that are floating around?

  • Feel cheap??? dont think so.. you might have a thinner version which is the original thickness from the movie.. but definitely not cheap, they are made with the most expensive ABS/Kydex plastic..

remember the part 3 mask bent around Richard Brookers face, I know I was there in 1982.

If you bought one from me send it back and I will send you a thicker version..

if you got it from someone else make sure it is a Frightstuff original blank

    Thanks

    ken

  • I got my Frightstuff mask today and I am loving that little plastic bastard. Thanks Ken.

  • That is so cool! I received my blank kit last week, and I am in love with this mask. I can't stop looking at it, it has subtle details which make it look so organic (if that's the right word) just like it does in the movie.

Every angle I look at it I think I'm looking at the movie mask. Thank you for offering these, Ken. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future.

  • Sweet vid Ken. :-)

  • clownnation is right, i currently own 2 of them, and they are the crown jewels of my extensive collection. no other product ever has or ever will come close. period. you want a killer hockey mask? frightstuff is the ONLY way to go.

  • There is nothing like a FRIGHTSTUFF mask, why? BECAUSE IT IS THE REAL DEAL! Thank you Ken for offering masks made off the original movie MOLD! For those of you even THINKING of collecting Jason masks, then why waste your money on some shitty fiberglass websites, when the movie masks were not originally made of fiber glass in the first place? Plus most masks out there are copies of the Original mask, which means the sizing is all wrong. Dont waste your money or time on anything but FRIGHTSTUFF

  • @clownnation dude ur only saying this because you work for frightstuff. does it really matter where a fan gets his mask from. shouldnt we all be happy about the love of the character. in my opinion ken charges WAY too much for a simple tubaware mask.

  • @clownnationtotal idiot!stop cockcsucking you lil douche
