in my view is taking a famous songs melody and make a new song out of it which is just a little different just a bad try to get famous!

Cause everybody knows the melody and of course there are people wich like this version more, perhaps because they don't like party/dance music.

But despite of this it's just like taking candy from a baby.

But most pop music is just rehashed material. Pop music in general has to follow certain formulas because that's what the record companies know sells. "Original" pop songs will probably have taken the same chords, melodies or rhythms of another track already.

Sure, making a cover isn't the same as writing an original song, but as far as this track goes there's way more artistic interpretation in this than pretty much all of the "original" pop songs out there.

@D4niel93 lol ya but it's fun work. I hate to argue again, but I would say that every person has their own style more than a genre of jazz has associated improv styles. Maybe bepop is mostly associated with fast scale filled solos, but even in the cool era some guys were still playing like that, while others slowed it down, it's personal. You could play a solo like Jamies in no time, just practice practice practice.

@D4niel93 . . .First of all this is a Pop song so chances are that wasn't just some solo he came up with, chances are he worked on a bunch to get that. As for "kind of improv", well I mean, usually you don't label improv with style titles. Obviously he's doing something more jazz based with more than just the blues notes in there. To improv like that, copy his solo, then play it in all 12 keys. Then learn more solos until you can invent something on your own.
