There's tricks on the PS3 to get additional followers, go to Bethesda's forums and find the thread on it or ask for help.

Jericho sometimes falls to his death, apparently. You will want to use console cheats to try to find him. There's a thread on bethesda's forums about someoene who did fix jericho in this instance, you should search for it.

Alright, this thing isn't letting me post URLs to you, but anyway. The mod I am using to get extra followers now is the one I am making, which is called Phalanx. If you go to the fallout3nexus site and look under companions, the current two files are there as Phalanx-VanillaHire and Phalanx-Obedient-Dogmeat. The main Phalanx web site is listed in the text file with those distroes.
