This Argentine versus Ballroom Tango debate is really starting to piss me off. All the Spanish haters... This version is art AND sport. There is no general rule of what a Tango should be. It's all in your heads, narrow minded people. And btw: Those dancers could learn any Argentine Tango in a couple of weeks, even days maybe, whereas only a handful of people in the world would be able to dance a Ballroom Tango at that level of perfection. So start to appreciate that aspect of Ballroom dancing!

@procs81 Me too, this world is full of arguments and conflicts already, but as least leave some innocent peaceful pure land in this area. World of dance is beautiful, and I felt every arguments like this is putting dirt on top of it, honestly.

Beautiful dance, but really, "international competitions" tango is to strange and "not tango" to me. You see, tango is meant to be "cheek to cheek" or almost, not so far from one another, and legs should be "crossing to the front" instead of dancing a waltz.

Two different Tango's altogether!

The modern ballroom Tango is quick and physical but it lacks the passion, beauty and feeling of the real Argentinian Tango.

Although ive seen some very good modern ballroom Tango dancers give the Tango the passion and feeling it needs to be fantastic!

and not just a modern Tango.
