I disagree. The occupy movement is largely about economic distribution, now the obvious argument is.... why does that only apply to us and not the entire world? The not so obvious arguments are that

1) their problems ARE our problems indirectly. I don't think I really need to go into that much further.

2) the occupy movement isn't so organized and specific as you might think. It's a large collection of people who are generally dissatisfied with the state of things, many issues.

As much as I am against the actions of the Israeli government with regards to Palestine, I think the Occupy movement should focus on the main goal at hand, getting the corrupting influence of money out of politics in order to bring about a fair system. That is something all reasonable people can agree on but the more issues you bring into it the fewer people will support the movement as a whole. Um, the colective population of Gaza voted for Hamas. They had gained some victories, they got Israel to remove their settlements in the strip, then they vote a violent confrontationist into power and the battles begin once more. There is another way around, passing just near a little place call Somalia. I think we should stay neutral and just do a "bug bunny act" by trying to avoid fighting in middle east, and help to give access to clean water in Somalia (that might help to some security problem in that region and it's relatively cheap).
