Very helpful video, thank you for taking the time to do this. Just a small tip; a Quick Format has no disadvantage at all here. Quick Format gets "everything off" as we need; I'm pretty sure with most SD cards being used here (not newer ones which support a Flash format), "Full" with not achieve anything extra.

I would just like to say Thank You for this video, I have been rooted since July because of this guide, I bet I could have done it without the video but I was afraid to mess something up, but this video chilled me out lol, I even got ENG S-OFF a couple weeks after and installed a different radio.

I have tested a lot of ROMs and I have to say Leedroid is my favorite too, I am on Leedroid 3.3.3 using SetCPU to save even more battery life!

@chrysb81 seriously, i love my inspire as well, im just going to wait and see if htc sense 3.0 will come to the htc inspire officially.as htc said that they will put htc sense on as many htc phones as they can, also seeing that htc desire s is getting sense 3.0 officially which they both have similar features! UPDATE: read that htc sense for DHD/INSPIRE is in progress, rumor says we will have FOTA in about 2 monthes.

hey guys i just DOWNGRADED my Inspire from 2.3.3 to 2.2 just google "TEMP-ROOT ANY Gingerbread build and downgrade to 1.32.405.6" without quotes of course and then you can just flash to a 2.3.3 ROM without losing your Root enjoy :)

fairly easy it might take around 30minutes it took me longer because i was downloading the files at the same time :/

Thanks, great tutorial! :) I only ran into one issue, when I clicked GetCID in the goldcard maker it said "working" for like 5 minutes then I got an error saying I didnt have the htc sync drivers even though I did, so I just downloaded an app from the Market called "Goldcard helper" and I manually typed in the MMC2 CID number on the goldcard maker program and everything worked fine, I'm now running Leedroid 3.3.1(Android 2.3.3) :)

Stuck in bootloader need help!! When i enter the bootloader, the command prompts say to hit the powerbutton. When it enters the bootloader it doesnt search for the zip file or ask me to update, it just froze. I took the battery out and turn on the phone again and worked. Try to do it again, same problem. the phone is on charge only,debuggin on, and fast boot off.

@Rapol12 Try going to the XDA website and look in the forums on there under the HTC Inspire. They will be able to help you better than I can. Sounds like the Goldcard wasn't made correctly so the phone can't find the file. You can try remaking the goldcard and trying again.

@0RiGiNALj0HN The chances are extremely small. But it is my duty to let you know it is "Possible". Things may go "wrong", but you can easily recover from them. I was very nervous on my first root as well. This video was my first time rooting. The only way I've heard of someone bricking their phone, was the battery wasn't charged and their battery died in the middle of the process. So just make sure that your battery is fully charged before you start.

@justinlee8936 Do as you please, but as you can tell this is not harmful to your computer at all. The reason your firewall and antivirus need to be gone is because antivirus programs see this program as a virus, even though its not. And not all of the components will download correctly. I will leave it to you to decide. Do your research and read all of the 480+ comments on this and decide if this is for you.

@AMFB415 Sounds like a .net framework error. I may be wrong. But make sure your computer has the latest version of the .net framework and all of the latest Service Packs.

@j0nathan377 To my knowledge, it does NOT affect 4g. The icon may differ from the original, but your speeds should be the same. As far as re-installing Microsoft Security Essentials. Go to Microsoft. com and look for the program on there. Then download and follow Microsoft's Installation Instructions
