You should check this DVD by George Duke live in Japan in 1983 I think. It features Louis on this same song with a bass solo where he breaks two strings. It's sick. The whole performance is great.

Now the funny thing is that here in Denmark that tune was actually used as intro to a Sports show WAY back in the 80's. Btw whos the bassplayer on it and whats album is it from? Auww! You just hit another one of my alltime favorite jams! This song was number one in my chart for 15 weeks or so back in 1983. Do you know the 12" version? It has an extended bass-solo starting at 3:52. I agree with you that this is one of the best albums ever made. I remember hearing the first 3 songs Overture / Light / Shane. That was a MINDBLAST!!! Awesome!!!!!
