hmm i wonder why they dont hav her working her bad leg as well, coaches are usually pretty good at having you work both sides of ur body not just one....
hey, to all the people commenting about how Sasha only uses her right side, that's not actually true. I used to train w/ her, and we stretched and strengthened both sides equally. Just for the record... :) Go SHASHA!!! <3333
I want to become in a rhythmic gymnastics coach.. I am a former figure skater.. coach artistic gymnastics.. and I went to National Congress in San Jose almost 2 years ago.. and went to the rhythmic conferences.. I think Rhythmic is underepresented.. and needs more people promoting it at the grass roots levels.. Skating is cold and the skates so expensive.. If I were millionaire I would put all my money in creating just rhythmic clubs.. no heavy equipment to move for competitions & so elegant&fun
it's obvious that she has a lot of talent, and also that she's getting excellent training, as I'm sure all the girls do at SD Rhythmic. Thank you for sharing with us. :)
With the right training, and good coaches like those at San Diego Rhythms, flexibility training doesn't cause injuries. Tumbling is much more likely to cause stress to the spine, thus rhythmic gymnastics is regarded as far more safe on the growing child. Further more, as long as when stretching the child does not go past her own limits, then injury is very rare. Besides this, Alexandra(sasha) is very naturally flexible, and is hardly ever even in minor pain while stretching.
@sdrhythmic What?! So if a stretch right i dont get any injuries? No pain when i get older? Im 13 and not naturally flexible but how do i know where my "limits" are? Please answer these questions
