put some white foil over the pots and the soil also for light reflection or better plant in the ground.let them grow through a x cut in the foil.this prevents evaporation.

you need bigger pots.90 liter pots or something and plant earlier .the roots get boiled in these pots in the cali sun.MAKE SHURE the pot is WHITE!it gets too hot if its black.are your roots white?i guess not.this is important.but looking good .
