  • 1.) I'm sure you know this by now; but pull off the big plug to reveal the standard plug. No adapter needed.

2.) You should probably never make another video again, that was terrible.

  • are these good for watching pron alone?

  • @pirocan1 Yea, but they leak sound.

  • @adhishb lol ill avoid them then :D

  • @adhishb That's good. You can hear if some1 is sneaking behind you. :)

  • @AnttiN they don't let too much sound in.

  • It's not the ms1i :/ too bad.

  • I;ve just modded them with HD414 pads and they're a bit more comfortable. The yellow sticks out a bit though.

  • god mine a few days ago. i fucking love them. guitars sound so powerful.

  • Can you tell me the length of the connector cable? I am about to order one asap.

  • @rravi89 1.5 metres.

  • I am gettin a pair in the mail here possibly this week (depends on the shipping). I have been hearing alot about em. EXCITED!!!!

  • @hamartime17 Congratulations! I hope you enjoy them!

  • @adhishb Got em about a week ago now, and OMGOSH.... they are amazing, and no regrets! best hands down

  • Hey, are grado headphones made in america? and i have just bought a pair, and if you pull the tip of the 1/4" jack it should come off to reveal a 9mm jack :)

  • @Iamwhereimat I think they are. I believe Grados are made in Brooklyn if I'm not mistaken.

  • @adhishb thanks man :D

  • They can only bought directly from Alessandro and you can only pay with paypal...

    What a bummer...

  • you pronounce it "grey-doh" not "grah-doh"

  • @MrMarkf132 Thanks for the correction.

  • Could you check their diameter? Are they any bigger than 40mmish KPP/akg 414p ?

  • How do they do in comfort ans bass?

  • @Zillamp3z I find that I can use them for a couple of hours comfortably but like to take a break after that. They're pretty comfortable and the bass is great.

  • @Zillamp3z I am pretty happy with the bass. They are comfortable to wear though for some reason my ears start hurting after about an hour or two. One of my biggest complaints with them is that they leak a lot of sound and so you can't really take them anywhere. I know they're not supposed to be portable but I wouldn't mind a set that I can listen to at the airport or in the library.

  • There needs to be actually reviews of these phones on youtube.

  • @indierollz I would have loved to do a review but I don't know enough about audio to be able to review them properly.

  • @indierollz I know. I wish I knew more about audio and had more experience with headphones to do a proper review.

  • could you at least hold the Fig-ing camera steady!? use a tripod if u can't hold the camera!! gawd! anyways, currently have a SR60i, how different are tehy from the MS-1?

  • @tanjwben Sorry about that buddy. I used my cellphone to shoot this video so I had to juggle holding the camers straight and unboxing the headphones.

  • @adhishb no worries mate, enjoy the headphones! planning on upgrading to the alessandros real soon! cheers~

  • What is it that Alessandro does to the Grados??? What is it that they change?

  • @StrawberryFields1421 I'm not really sure. One of the main reasons I got them is that they worked out cheaper than buying a pair of Grados locally.

  • @StrawberryFields1421 The Alessandro MS-1s use SR-125 drivers. They've been slightly tweaked to sound more laid back than stock SR-80s or SR-125s. Some people say that the sound signature is similar to that of the Koss KSC-75s.

The revised 2009 version uses SR-125i drivers, which means they use the upgraded Grado drivers with the revised plastic housing. Can't tell you what difference it makes in the sound but most audiophiles agree that it's worth the $10 difference.

  • You didn't go and buy a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter did you?

  • @nakacheeseman

No, I realized that it had a 1/8 to 1/4 adaptor on so all I needed to do is pull off the adaptor.

  • Hehehe I was worried you wouldn't notice. It'd be a shame to waste money on an adapter when you didn't need one :P

Have you modded your Ms-1's at all? I'm picking up my pair from the posties today.

  • 1/8 stand for ... ? i mean, for the normal mp3 players and pc (3.5mm) which one i'm gonna choose?

  • 1/8 is a standard 3.5 mm jack, a 1/4 is a 6.3 mm jack.

  • thanks :)

  • hey, great video! 3 questions, 1. are these any better than grado sr80i's. 2. how much are they and 3. do u know what alessandro do to them?

    thanks

    howard

  • @hkplaymad

The one he has here is the MS-1i model ($110), which is slightly improved over the previous MS-1 model ($100). They cost about the same as a Grado SR-80i ($100) but some say have a more relaxed sound, slightly less sparkly on the highs. The difference is minor, but many audiophiles compare them to the SR-80i and even higher-end SR-125i ($150) saying they have good value for money. I, personally, love them.

  • thanks a bunch, i now have a pair and i think they are the ms-1i's because they have the 3.5mm jack with the 6.3 attachment. i love them, and here in the uk, they are much cheaper than the grado's :) thank you

  • @hkplaymad mate u gotta tell me where/how did you get them. I cant find them anywhere in UK. :(

  • @DuyLe1011 Directly from the Alessandro website with free worldwide shipping!

  • @hkplaymad I paid $99 for them shipped. I don't really know what Alessandro does to them. The main reason I got them over the Grado sr60s is because they worked out cheaper than the Grados. I wish I knew more about them. Sorry.

  • @adhishb No worries man, i found them in the end, and i have a pair on my ears atm :D
