It's not copyrighted... something called Public Domain. What's incorrect about the specs? The square footage? Do the math. 3G connectivity? Says it on the site. Colors? Says it on the site. Please be specific.

for one... this looks like copyright footage... if so... it CANT win... if not... it could have been filmed A LOT better to match the V.O. For two: the graphics aren't keyed properly... looks really unprofessional. For 3: maybe if this was like 30 sec long... but a minute and a half of this just drags on.

well.. if it is public domain I'm pretty sure there's a 50% rule... in most (if not all) cases it's illegal to use less than 50% original footage(even if it's in the public domain) for profit or other cases such as winning a contest. Public domain doesn't mean you can just use the footage outright. Now had you bought the rights to this footage and used it for only 20% or so of the final product, that would be different. Or had you refilmed the whole thing in its entirety. Otherwise it's illegal.

Taylor, the footage is public domain. The creativity is in the idea and use of footage. What's wrong with using pre-existing footage if that's what it's out there for? It doesn't matter what you edit on, so long as you can use your tools. Also, it was intentionally made to be imperfect. They didn't have advanced computer editing programs in the 40's and 50's. Which vid is yours?
