I used to use Firefox's password manager. 1Password is much much better in many ways, including syncing and better heuristics for finding matches. And it doesn't lock you into a particular browser (except it doesn't work with Opera).
dont really get it but isnt that even worse? keeping a whole load of passwords within one password what if someone "accidently" guessed that password right?
Well, that's what makes this concept great. You only have to generate one truly secure, yet memorable password and the rest of them can be as ludicrously complex as you need them to be.
Man I need that I'm dying for a program like this. Can anyone please tell me a website thing where I can download one these pw holders? You can PM me about it too
This seems like a nice application but the price is way to much. Also I agree with a lot of other posters in that technology makes things easier for us but sometimes its still better to do things the old fashion way.
Passwords Are very valuable , to trust many passwords to a super password , thats very risky . see the reason most concepts fail is because everything has to be simplified for the user , if things were a little more complex it would make it a little more cumbersome but alot more effective . i do mine the old fashion way , pen paper and a safe .
Firefox 3.x and the add-on "Password Hasher" (version 1.1.4 as of this comment) do this probably just as well if not better. Password Hasher even generates super strong passwords for you and changes them periodically, but all unlocked with one master password. Why pay for software when you can get nearly the same thing for free, especially if it's open-source?
Possibly, but I have Roboform licensed for my laptop and Desktop, love it as it has done everything I wanted and more. Besides, I don't do the Mac thing thanks..........
I doubt an hour. It would take awhile to integrate it into all those browsers. But I do agree with you, $40 is a bit much. $10 -$15 is a bit more fair.
i think mozilla has something not as advanced, but it will tell u ur password if u ever forget and does require a master password, but its nowhere near as advanced as this and is probably less secure
firefox pretty much does this on its own including the whole "avoiding phishing schemes" - as long as the first time you enter your password you enter it in the right site
Noob if he know 1 pw he can find all the website and there pw.

Just do what I do, have the same password for everything, incredibly stupid and dangerous, but eh. It works.

Firefox can sync with an addon. I forgot the name. Also, if you're using anything but firefox you're dumb, so 'lock' wouldn't be the right word.

That looks like so much fun! I wish I could do stuff like that, It looks like there having a great time. Great video b by the way.

Pretty much, but with a few extra niceties. This also works for apps that don't interface with Keychain for whatever reason.
