You know how many ppl. end up missing after a stranger offers a ride? How do you know if that person isn't even drunk (40,000 ppl. die each year in USA alone). That is totally discounting over 70,000 ppl. who ended up missing after accepting seemingly harmless offers. Okay another what if... What if he/she has an accident (after all > 1 million ppl. get permanent injuries for driving recklessly)... next time you say 'yes' to a ride, it could be your last time admiring German or Japan ingenuity.
Back in 2006 when I was working at Sears, when I got off at 11p.m, my ENITRE family was at work, so i had no ride home and all the buses stopped running. I stay 15 minutes away from work. So I politely offed $20 bucks for anyone to drop me off at home and everyone, even the managers just left me outside the store alone. Gas was 2.50/gallon then. I was soooooo angry at the entire world.
I believe God sent me a bus out cuz when I lost all hope, the LAST bus of the night came outta nowhere.

but now that i think about it the responsible person that is NOT a stranger and SHOULD care has to usually most liekly come from out of their way to get you when meanwhile you and the semi-stranger are already leaving from the same place so out of curtsey for the person you DO know you should take the ride an not burden them (but if you dont ride w/ strangers diff story)
@crakho3 haha i get what you're saying, but usually it's like the person picking me up was my sister using my car, so it's already been declared that she'd pick me up, and most of the people who worked at my job lived in other towns. But I do totally get what you're saying. I've tried to think of it that way too, but like I'd only accept a ride from a coworker if my ride hasn't left, and they were really persistent, which was only twice i believe.

The lesson: Be nice, sure, but be careful, too.

Yeah, so I thought he got kicked out of the car because he purv'ed.at her, which would have been disappointing. But all he did was talk trash about her boyfriend and tell her she needed to upgrade, she'd have slow-witted children, etc., until she warned him and warned him and then kicked him out. At least it was on the way home. His eyes were red, though, like he'd been crying.

sometimes you do something nice for someone and they take it for granted.......my problem is that i cant say no,if someone ask to borrow money i will give them even though i might not have any...thats just how i grew up. i wish more people would take the time to be kind instead of judging people before they get to know them......i LOVE being nice to people,i feel like i accomplish something when i be kind and caring. :)

@trini4life100000000 I use to have the same problem with money, and i still kind of do. Maybe not as much as in high school though cause i don't see as many people now =/
And I totally agree! I don't get how people get off on putting others down. I love complimenting people. It's like an adrenalin rush.. except probably less exciting lol
