"Wow! Beautiful costumes, great dancing, and lots of energy, rhythm, and passion; BUT: THAT IS NOT A TRIANGLE!!! -- and so it doesn't count. SORRY!!!" (LOL!)
This is freakin' brilliant! I'm tempted to start watching Sesame Street on a regular basis again...even though I'm far beyond their target demographic....
The dodecahedron is one of the five perfect solids -- which means that its sides are all identical, regular polygons. Its faces, twelve of them, are pentagons. Way back in ancient Greece, it was the one perfect solid that was kept hidden from the masses (only the initiated few could know about it, as it was associated with the stuff of the heavens). The other four perfect solids are the cube, icosahedron, tetrahedron, and octahedron -- for earth, water, fire, and air, respectively.
LOL Yeah, lots of finish built versions of Muppets took weird because they now have foam molds so the puppet builders don't have to worry about being accurate.
I totally know how you mean.
Bert's nose is more lower and his head is too wide.
I liked how the host turns his head to the side each time he says "Triangles". That was very funny and unfortuatly the only funny part in this sketch for me.
I have no idea. But my guess will be on season 24. On that episode, The Amazing Mumford used magic to make him tap dance. But he accidently used magic to make everyone to tap dance. Until they met another magician was better known as Gregory Hines. He fix the problem but now Gregory is tap dancing. But in the end, Savion teach everybody from Sesame Street to tap dance including Mumford.
Holy cow! After all these years, we're doin' HEXAGONS now? Wow. And here I thought Sesame Street's audience has gotten younger in recent years, not older. Interesting that we're pushing some more complicated shapes on the little 'uns these days...
Maria's line about "Dancing with Elephants" just cracks me up! Such a seasoned ham :-) I've seen this in the current season a few times and it still makes me laugh. The announcer's voice is pretty darn funny, too.

Though I think the writing is the same as Season 1 now a days and not like how it was from 1974 - 1992, but that's just my opinion.
