  • What arpegio are you using? :)

    Also, this is awesome.

    MOARR..

  • Hi there. Not sure about the arpeggiator actually. It's been over a year since I recorded this. Sorry.

    Thanks for watching :).

  • @psychopath3000 I figured it out on my Kaossilator, and I'm pretty sure it's Gate/Arp 21. You have to have your BPM set to about 66 or 67 for it to sound correct though.

  • I think it's G.24

  • yay!

  • enjoyed it, Ta.

  • in fact, just bought one now as a result.... can't wait.

  • Ah great. Enjoy it. You'll spend many hours with it I think.

  • Awesome, i've made some songs too but i'm not yet familiar with the Kaossilator.

  • Thanks very much. Good luck with it. :)

  • Lol nice psychopath =P

  • Cheers matey,

  • How did you get on in the same scale as Requiem is there a setting on the pad?

  • Hi. The Kaossilator has about 20 pre-programmed scales, including Ionian, Dorian, Aeolian, Phrygian, Japanese, etc. Requiem for a dream is in the Aeolian scale, so I just used that. You have to figure out the root note as well, and Requiem is either in G or A I think (can't completely remember).

  • :')

that song gives me shivers man.

    mixed well.

  • Thanks. I love it too.

  • That was sick man! great job.

  • Thankyou.

  • finally, someone posted a video with a bad ass song accompanied by a kaosillator. VERY COOL

  • Thanks!

  • Dude, that was so awesome

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Absolutely agree on layer removal. It would also be worth a lot more for doing live mixing if bouncing/fixing layers would not result in 5 seconds without any sound output.

Thanks a lot about the songwriting commentary; it makes me feel a lot better that your great songs were also the result of long hard work! It will definitely help me conjure up that necessary energy to finish some of my stuff.

  • You can do it without loss of sound.

Look for kaossilator tips & tricks. The guy's name is like fivethreesquared or something similar.

  • You can't do it on dly mode, and even when you can do it, it's by far too awkward and extremely limited. Seems to me as though it's something Korg could easily have added, but they skipped it for strange reasons.

  • Yeah I admit that, but I was just letting him know it IS possible.

  • Very nice! Got mine yesterday and partially like, partially hate it. I think it really makes me wanna get a good looper so I can make complete songs with it without having to use recording software while I do.

  • Sweet, I am currently listening to your MySpace songs, that is some really great stuff - I wish I would have your abilities of getting all my bits and pieces into such great songs!!

  • Thanks very much. To be honest, anything I write is a long process. It doesn't come very naturally to me, which I suppose makes the end result much more satisfying.

  • Hey thanks a lot! Well I see what you mean. It is quite limited in many ways, although good for absolutely anyone to have a go with. It would have been nice if you were able to go backwards and remove layers in real time. That's a real limitation. Probably best when used with Korg Kaoss Pad I reckon. :)

  • nice dude

  • Thanks!
