Film from a distance, hide your cams when asking questions. Button cams are quite cheap. why anyagonise them? You are not going to win against them. there is only 2 persons that will win and they are not human.
SIGH!!! radical liberals deliberately trying to cause problems resisting the police and acting defiant , sooooo you got what you came for, unfortunately he didn't get arrested that would have made his day thou I'm sure.Blame terrorism for your rights being altered in public places and this douche for asking questions about infamous terrorist acts and making what could be construed as sympathy for it
If some fucking nutter walked into the middle of the carnival and blew himself up, killing and injuring dozens people, you would all be screaming "what were the police doing to prevent this!!"
The police presence is only an issue if you make it one by walking up to them and sticking a camera in their faces.I'm happy to see police on the streets.
I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make with this film.
Even if your conspiracy theories are true,(a whole other subject) I'd still rather have the police around.Acting like silly children and deliberately provocating individual police officers achieves nothing for anyones argument or inded their credibility.Thankfully most of you will grow out of it.Theres a "cause" for every generation of kids and students,I suppose this is youres.
They're trying to use this terrorism act for absolutely everything now. It's like a magic word banded about by utter fucking morons deeply under the spell of the evil imperialist UK government.
I dunno... the police in this country are a little gentle with the way they deal with timewasters. Normally a cop in the US would just laugh it off and go on his way.
But I do think that terrorism act thing was a bit excessive.
Fucking pigs, wasting tax money when they should be dealing with crime. Instead they are harassing people enjoying a carnival...
Using the terrorist act to search peoples wallets etc and ILLEGALLY gaining personal information. Under the terrorist act you have to taken into custody before ANY personal searches can be made. They can only search your jacket, hat, gloves without taking you into custody. You do not have to answer any questions they ask you, only in court are you obliged. Fuck em
get lost burger flipping redneck, cops are abusing our rights by doing what they do here. I suppose some asshole ignorant piece of shit like yourself wont know these rights and what we have done to get them.
haha, morons. "why am I being searched" "you cant out my name on that slip without my permission" maybe you would have spared yourself some trouble by NOT fucking with the police?
Checks and balances Mr.Simpleton. The police DO NOT have the right to do as they please. They are no different than anyone else in this country.
Our rights must be upheld, it took hundreds of years of pressure from the people of this country and the world to acquire these rights and they're being dissolved away within the matter of a few years now.
He asked one if there were more police at the carnival than the last. The second just didn't like him standing well away from them with a video camera.
Do you think it is acceptable for police to abuse their powers like this?
You're essentially stating that people should be subservient and scared of the police - treat them as bosses and superiors and then noone will get hurt? Might work for you, but most British people think freedom still means something.
I agree. Aren't they supposed to be civil SERVANTS. Of all people cops should act civilly to the people, because they are supposed to be about law and order. At the end of the day they are just citizens like everyone else and should not be allowed to get away with things just because they are cops.
rubbish police - even more rubbish that they have probably been directed from above to randomly stop people - they won't get away with it at the end of the day PEACE!!
My mates old cheese is a police man and he is sound i got alot of respect for the man, but police like that dont deserve to have the badge and wear the uniform.
It seemed to me that WAC didn't do themselves any favours with their provocative approach to the police. It came across that you were deliberately looking for some kind of confrontation with the police by approaching their cordon, and asking probing questions, that were obviously designed to rile. Poor Show in my opinion.
The police are public servants, people have a right to ask them questions. They do not have a right to threaten arrest under terror laws to anyone who does anything they don't like.
The only authority police have is to uphold the law - if no law is being broken they have no more authority than anyone else.
The second people start accepting this behaviour, and people even start apologising for it,mousie,is the second we welcome a police state with open arms. And to be frank, deserve what we get.
That seemed quite naive to threaten terrorism powers. They actually arrested him under section 60 of the CJA. Not terrorism act.
However, they also have a rights not to answer questions of a personal nature such as an opinion etc and not to be harassed. The same rights you and I have.
Additionally, under section 110 of SOCPA you *have* to give your name. If you gave a fake name then I suspect it 'would be used in evidence against you'.
Let me make this clear - if you are stop and searched under the CJA you do not have to give any details to the police - and they can record only descriptive details. This video is about stop and search - not arrest. Nobody is arrested in the video although it is threatened.
Also, police are public servants, people are free to ask them whatever they want to. They don't have to answer, but to threaten arrest because they don't like being questioned is an abuse of their position of authority.
The policewoman was well within her rights not to answer the questions of the highly sarcastic "I'm better than you" interviewer even if she is a 'public servant'. He was extremely arrogant, demanding and harassing her.
It's ironic that when it comes to harassing 'public servants' it's apparently OK, but put the shoe on the other foot...
and I apologise I misheard as I thought the unidentified policeman said he was arresting the 'friend' under the CJA but listening to it again it was a bit clearer.
I couldn't find anything in the act that limits what the police can look/ask for in a stop and search or whether they can take the name down of the person they are searching.
I was stopped and searched on suspicion of theft once but as I knew I was innocent I was polite with the police and they were polite to me. It goes a long way!
First time I was stop and searched the officer was polite, I answered all his questions and gave my personal details - after all I had nothing to hide.
But when I thought about it, I was being complicit in the forming of a police state. What did my grandfather fight for in WWII if our nation was going to end up like Nazi Germany by our own design? It doesn't matter how polite or impolite the police might be this is still an erosion of our civil liberties. I vowed never again to be complicit.
It actually goes against Sections 8 and 10 of the 'We Are Change' code of conduct as well. With the exception of the first bloke who was interviewed and the ginger-haired girl giving ill-timed legal advice, all the rest of the people featured in this film were being highly confrontational and immature.
I have worked with supposed 'professionals' who choose to carry out their business in this pathetic manner. In the long run it gets them nowhere as people will just put up their barriers to them.
They made a film about it, u know, i spent alot of time listening to this stuff but now i am bored with it, give it little of my attention span now, to much to think about, meeting the endless bills every month, paying my parking fines, feeding and clothing my kids.Your going to have to take a different angle on this one guys, take away the comforts they love, the only wake to wake them up, leaflets are roach material, period
I think you may be misinformed re the demanding of name and address by the police in the uk. I believe that under terror legislation they can demand ID, even arrest you to ascertain your ID (even if you have proof) from anyone at any time. Same with searches.
They can under the terrorist act, but by the time they took the name without permission they had changed their story to a section 60 - under section 60 you do not have to sign or give any details to the police, and all they can note are descriptive details (height, hair colour, eye colour, skin tone, clothing etc).

In america under section 802 of the so called patriot act ,all crimes are terrorism!
The police state is a crying shame!
But terrorism is defined as the use or threatened use of force to bring about political change! The nwo and thier minions are the real terrorist!
Thanks for helping to expose the nwo in your city guys! And keep up the great work!
Resistance to tyranny is victory!
