Why even fight about which game is the best since everyone has different taste. My personal favorite is probably VI or IX, but I´m perfectly fine if other people don´t share my opinion. It´s just my personal taste.
FFVI should have gotten the respect the FF7 did, but it never happened. Sephiroth is a momma's boy. I just want this FFVII remake for PS Vita, and PS3 for one reason. So we can all agree to stop the complaining of what's taking Square-Enix so long.
Hey Square-Enix why not branch back to Squaresoft in 2012. That's what people see as 1 of the signs of Apocalypse if it happens. You need to get back your creative team. That's why Squeenix is falling apart.

final fantasy 13 did have an excellent story...gameplay could have been better though. i didnt like game over after the leader of the party died. I personally think they rushed 13 so that they could start producing 14

This song and video are awesome, but something surprised me. Did I just see, during the FF6 part of the video, Shadow running through a ghost filled Phantom Train? I never remembered seeing that CG video in the PS1 version of FF6. I did see him open his eyes, then look over his shoulder in the English intro for the PS1 version, but...
@Senfknoten 13 gotta agree but 12 have to dissagree the battle system was amazing nice and fluid to me the story line was good and also had intresting side missions but definaty 13 was a massive let down just like how the theme got changed from a variation of this epic song
I love all of the FF games even if i don´t know that much of some but i think they made FFIX Characters a little to short. But I still love it. Oh and at first I thought that they were kids lol.
I grew up with Final Fantasy games :) played 7 when I was 10, 8 when I was 12, 9 when I was 13, 11 when I was 16, 6 when I was 21... there's really nothing like the feeling of completing a good Final Fantasy game. The friends and enemies you make, places you visit, the music that creates the great atmospheres of the games,the artistry and creativity, it's inventiveness... it was more like a place I visited rather than a video game. You really missed something if you never played an FF.
I do also wanna put out a personal note here, as a big FF fan: DO NOT! I repeat: DO NOT, Remake these game, Squeenix. You've already done it enough with FFI to IV...Even going so far as to make a useless sequel to IV that's never gonna be as memorable as the original. All this talk about an FFVII Remake? Guys? No...Just no. Advent Children was ok, but it didn't fit the magic that made FFVII "The Game" so great. That'd be like trying to re-create Star Wars with the prequel cast....Brr, ugh.
@BlueAuraEX Couldn't have said it better myself. Part of the charm of the original games were in their graphics. It still amazes me how in FF6 they got those little sprites to be as lively as they were, able to show so many different emotions so clearly. FF7 was blocky, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
I am still thankful for the releases of FF Origins, Anthology and FF3 DS, because through those people outside of Japan were able to experience the lost numbers of the series.
Hell yes man. The original badass games that revolutionized RPG's in general. It was to be expected for this series to fade once Enix joined Square, the masters of RPG gaming, but like Legend of Zelda, the originals will ALWAYS be remembered. FFVI to Link to the Past, FFVII to Ocarina of Time, and even FFX to Wind Waker. These are the TRUE, RPG classics. Regardless of what's to come with FFVersusXIII and Skyward Sword, I'll never forget these amazing, legendary pieces of art. FFForever!

@BlueAuraEX you forgot: zelda 1 nes= FF1, both were revolution to their genere, Adventure of link=FF2, the black sheep games, and i dont think that and zelda game is anything equal to FF3, not saying FF3 was better, but zelda never had a game with similar concept to FF3. oh and I could say FF4 is like zelda awakening. Both are so underapreciated. Oh and dont forget: FF9= Zelda: Majora Mask. Both are light hearted at times ond dark at times.

@Saerrix What?! You must try Exdeath at level 100 with his level 100 weapon. He laughs at a brutes atempt to defeat him... I actually gotten everyone at level 100 and almost all their level 100 weapons. I have to say Sephiroth's weapon is like "NOPE! I'M NOT EASY TO OBTAIN!" :(

In VII, I'm at like the VERY LAST PART--ready to fight Sephiroth (at least I THINK I'm ready. lol) But I wanted to get a Gold Chocobo and get Knight of the Round before I verse him. But then in the middle of my Chocobo training, I got a Chocobo that had very poor base stats and I can't race him to get his rank up higher! :( Suggestions? Start over? Or just beat the game?
@akpokemon If you'd never beaten the game before, go and do it, forget the KotR and finish the game. But if you're in a 100% completition quest, just reset and start over.
KOtR is way very cool in owning enemies but the process of getting a gold chocobo is very tough and expensive.
Not all chocobos can breed gold chocobos. The chocobo you caught most probably is the normal ones.
Anyway, the final battle with safer sephiroth will be way tougher if you have used any KOtR in the previous fights with the bosses before meeting him at the core of the crater. His stats will increase.
A beautiful version of this song... I had no idea there were lyrics! Who is the vocalist? I wanna say Angela Aki or Emiko Shiratori but I could be wrong. I just thought of them because they both sang a song in the FF series and their voices sound kind of similar to the vocalist in this video. x]

Vii Is my favorite because of the Personal connection I have with it being my very first RPG I bought cause I thought it was an action game, and holy shit it opened my mind up to the best genre ever the JRPG. After that I love 6 mainly for it's story, then Xenogears, same company so it counts ^_^
Yeah! ff7 was a present from my uncle to my dad on his b-day. He thought it was a war game, but he found out later it was an RPG, so he gave it to my brother and I.

@Saerrix What?! You must try Exdeath at level 100 with his level 100 weapon. He laughs at a brutes atempt to defeat him... I actually gotten everyone at level 100 and almost all their level 100 weapons. I have to say Sephiroth's weapon is like "NOPE! I'M NOT EASY TO OBTAIN!" :(

Loved this. Thank you! In VII, I'm at like the VERY LAST PART--ready to fight Sephiroth (at least I THINK I'm ready. lol) But I wanted to get a Gold Chocobo and get Knight of the Round before I verse him. But then in the middle of my Chocobo training, I got a Chocobo that had very poor base stats and I can't race him to get his rank up higher! :( Suggestions? Start over? Or just beat the game?

@akpokemon If you'd never beaten the game before, go and do it, forget the KotR and finish the game. But if you're in a 100% completition quest, just reset and start over.

You can fight him and just beat the game.
KOtR is way very cool in owning enemies but the process of getting a gold chocobo is very tough and expensive.
Not all chocobos can breed gold chocobos. The chocobo you caught most probably is the normal ones.
Anyway, the final battle with safer sephiroth will be way tougher if you have used any KOtR in the previous fights with the bosses before meeting him at the core of the crater. His stats will increase.

A beautiful version of this song... I had no idea there were lyrics! Who is the vocalist? I wanna say Angela Aki or Emiko Shiratori but I could be wrong. I just thought of them because they both sang a song in the FF series and their voices sound kind of similar to the vocalist in this video. x]

Then don't talk. Lets see you use the job system to the fullest. Mastering a job is harder than that stupid junction system. Lets see you embrace each character's given attributes and use their specialties in a battle. Final Fantasy 12 shouldn't even be called a Final Fantasy. It's morel like Final Politics. Seven was utterly disgusting. Sephiroth killed a village and a little girl.

To add more, the old Final Fantasy's retained the aspect of a fantasy. Dragons, crystals, knights. You play some cyber punk emo/protagonist love story. Get over your self. The old games were so much better.

The battles are boring, the gameplay is mediocre, the characters are usually a bunch of whiny-overdepressed emos, and the stories are either predictable, or facepalm-worthy.

Vii Is my favorite because of the Personal connection I have with it being my very first RPG I bought cause I thought it was an action game, and holy shit it opened my mind up to the best genre ever the JRPG. After that I love 6 mainly for it's story, then Xenogears, same company so it counts ^_^

Yeah! ff7 was a present from my uncle to my dad on his b-day. He thought it was a war game, but he found out later it was an RPG, so he gave it to my brother and I.
I was 8 then. Awesome times.
