  • Nice playing. I've been futzing around with playing tunes on the piano and it's not a common instrument at all, except as backing of course. You can name all the musicians who played tunes on the piano with the fingers of one hand, I think - of course there are many young players like Catriona who we just don't get to hear, too.

Incidentally in trad music "songs are sung, tunes are played." There aren't "scores," just books with the bare melody of tunes. It's played by ear by and large.

  • that is unbelievable. well done!

  • can you upload the scores? i would like to give it a try

  • dey are d best triplets i have ever heard!!!

put up some more stuff please!!!

  • Pretty Serious stuff.

  • absolutely wonderful....to a Cullivan best in life from a Sullivan

  • This is how I try to play tunes on piano, but I can't do it yet. I love the first tune, I'm learning it on fiddle right now, but it's better to hear it on the flute

  • very nice

  • i'm not a lover of the piano but looking at this has changed my mind , It's the way she plays it and what she is playing that moves me. This is just Brilliant, look at how she moves those fingers. What a gift to have. Excellent stuff.

  • That was aweosme!

  • Amazing. I'm off to learn those tunes for myself!

  • Unreal ! Claas..!

  • oh yeah!

  • absolutely mindboggling! X factor! winner hands down

  • Amazing!

I've never seen anyone play the trad piano as good! Its unreal!

I've never seen anything like it!

This girl should be famous worldwide, people that are famous aren't half as good.

  • hmm, where can i download this?

  • class

  • im so jealous

  • Pure class right der! a keyboard is so much harder doin solo dan a piano... fair play!

  • I do not agree with you; i think on a piano this piece would be harder to play because, she often plays on key many times very fast and on a piano thats hard..

  • well when your used to a piano your playing becomes heavier.. and on keyboards it is very easy to trip over notes and rolls.. and it is also very easy to pick up speed on this....

  • that's not a keyboard... that's a digital piano.. so keys are hard as a piano, more or less. the only difference is the expressiveness of the sound...

A keyboard is definitely less hard to play, but keys are easy to be pushed so if u put ur finger a little out of the right key, you play the wrong note... On a piano or a digital piano, this happens less, but keys are harder and you get tired more faster

  • AMAZING!

  • wow, thats probably hard to play ...

  • This was wonderful. I must have replayed the video 50 times. Brought back memories!

  • You have a good talent! Nice music

  • fantastic playing ... but why a Yamaha Keyboard and not a decent piano for heaven's sake ;)

  • I agree. Roland all the way.

  • Good point, but I think IIt's the player that makes the instrument not the instrument that makes the player

  • There's nothing wrong with Yamaha man. They make fine PA gear, and people are tripping over themselves to get the older Yamaha acoustic guitars. They also make nice grand piano's. Just because it's Japanese doesn't always make it cheap garbage.

  • I really think he was talking about a floor piano, a non electronic one...
