Motorcycle track day at Grattan Raceway July 7, 2007

Does this track have "Free" Practice? Like the Nurburgring, where you bring you car , pay a little cash, and do some laps?

ya, you guys were gettin it pretty good. it's been a long time for me so i've committed to taking the old gsxr out and play next year. should be fun. I'll get some good old footage from teh early 90's up soon. big difference between track day and race day ;) nice vid!

Yea, there was a lot of twitching in the bars until I put that steering damper on there... then it was a lot easier and safer to get on the throttle! The difference was night and day!

Dennis Baker (Not "I can't slow down" by the way.). Long time STT Instructor. Actually been riding with them since before they became STT. Been riding Grattan since about 2000. When it comes right down to it though, I really don't consider myself one of the "fast guys" there, but thanks for the props anyway.

I know it was an instructor... but I'm not sure who. If I had to guess... I think it might have been a guy that goes by "I can't slow down". He has an older grattan vid on youtube and looks like he rides similar. Also an STT member. Not sure though. I really learned something from watching him pass us though... he squared off the corners in the sweeper really well and was able to carry more speed into the bus stop! Also, note how he set up the pass for turn 8 a couple turns prior.

Hehe, actually that was an RC51. I was filming him that day so not much passing. By the way, he's a lot faster now, not sure I could pass if I wanted to! We'll see next season...
