No offense to Saosin, but I think that Anthony Green was a much better singer than Cove is. But I think bands are all around better when they have all the Original members. For instance Chiodos will never become what they could be without Craig Owens; Its just not the same without the originals

If you guys have been posted then you will know that Saosin has parted ways with their major record label virgin/emi. This is good news to the old fans. Expect new things from them this summer.
This came from the guys themselves and according to Beau they have been working on new songs already. Song's for the old fans and these songs are already leaning towards the b sides of ISOSG. The heavier songs that never saw light on that album are being created as we speak.
In regards to Cove screaming... No one should have to ruin their vocal cords to sound EXACTLY like someone else. And being a trained musician I can say Anthony's voice won't last very long if he keeps singing and straining the way he does when he sings. And this song is amazing!!! Cove follows the drums and beat so well he even accents inflections on every other beat. This song is tight. We all have battles to overcome and I have mine. He's amazing in my eyes. :)
@fusemc You can scream without over-straining your vocal cords. Actually it is possible. What music background do you have? Let me go over basic vocal techniques. There are 3 areas your voice comes from: Head, Throat, and Diaphragm (aka chest voice). If you try to get maximum volume using "Throat Voice" it actually damages your vocal cords causing tears and polyps. If you don't believe me, look up "Vocal Cord Nodules". So your profanity is unjustified.
i used to have 2 awesome bands. One in Baltimore and one in Philly. I'm not trying to promote, but I've been singing since 4 years old, piano since 7, and taught myself guitar at 15, well with a little help there too! :)
My original point was no one should have to "scream" exactly like someone else cuz no 2 people sound exactly alike. By no means am I saying Cove has a perfect voice, but I do love this song. No one has a "perfect" voice that's why we love singers so much.

The reason for their change is simply because they've moved onto a new, different, and bigger record label. They had to change their sound obviously otherwise the record label wouldn't approve of it. Nonetheless, they're still amazing. 'nuff said :)

I honeslty don't see where they sold out. Their new album may not be the best, but if you actually listen to it, there are a few songs where they kept their sound. Saosin is growing up. @TheColdwinds actually, i would not consider saosin sell outs. they parted ways with their record labels so they could do things the way they wanted to. listen to the demos "the norma jean song", "untitled", and "back to greatness". they totally sound like songs that could have been on translating the name, but with cove on vocals. they are sick. cove said they will release them on an ep, and they won't remake them or anything.
I have a hard time believing that this band used to my favorite back in the day before this mainstream shit they've been shitting out now. At least Circa and Anthony Green are still alive and well. That's about 2/3 of the equation anyways. (Anthony)

Saosin didn't sell out at all...Idk where people even get the idea...seriously, you still don't see them everywhere you turn, they are not what people always talk about, and you don't see them everywhere on tv and creating hype, their music is still the same, and they've still got an amazing sound, like seriously, they are still the same ole Saosin <3...no sellouts once so ever!

When you can define what a sell out is,then you can use that phrase.Sell outs are people that advertise or start selling crap or have people write songs for them like Fall Out Boy.Saosin has yet to do any of that so no,they are not sell outs.

Definitely not, in the vid for 'You're Not Alone,' he had beautiful hair that I want (I'm a chick). I saw the dreds and I think a little something in me cringed. That happens with all band people that change their hair, like Gerard Way (especially) and Chester Benington (I love mohawks). :'(

The reason for their change is simply because they've moved onto a new, different, and bigger record label. They had to change their sound obviously otherwise the record label wouldn't approve of it. Nonetheless, they're still amazing. 'nuff said :)

you know this band doesnt get enough credit. they should be way bigger than they are,i honestly think the only reason their not is cause when the word got around about saosin thats was also when the "scene" stared then it wasnt about the music anymore it was just about who has the tightest jeans,whos hair is bigger and who has the most make-up on.i dont even go to local shows anymore because its like a fucking fashion show like i said its not about the music anymore...and thats really sad.

I honeslty don't see where they sold out. Their new album may not be the best, but if you actually listen to it, there are a few songs where they kept their sound. Saosin is growing up. Plus if Virgin was the reason they were "selling out", you're in luck. They just parted ways with them. Who knows, maybe their next one will be fucking amazing.

@TheColdwinds actually, i would not consider saosin sell outs. they parted ways with their record labels so they could do things the way they wanted to. listen to the demos "the norma jean song", "untitled", and "back to greatness". they totally sound like songs that could have been on translating the name, but with cove on vocals. they are sick. cove said they will release them on an ep, and they won't remake them or anything.

I have a hard time believing that this band used to my favorite back in the day before this mainstream shit they've been shitting out now. At least Circa and Anthony Green are still alive and well. That's about 2/3 of the equation anyways. (Anthony)
