@asskillerful No one knows, the game is nowhere near to publishing so even NC itself doesnt know (supposedly a BTP as every other NC game). However judging by the amount of work and innovation going into this - it would be extremely naive to hope that this would be a FTP. NC has never made one because it doesnt have to. FTPs come from small companies selling their games to equally small publishers.

The open beta could be free though initially.

This game is meant to look the way it does, there's plenty fantasy, but it's not some kind of dragon slayer game like WoW or what ever else you understand as having enough fantasy. This game is about martial arts and sorcery, or something akin to sorcery. I'll count gunning as another form of martial arts for now.

Either you like it enough to buy and play it, or you don't.

I too wish that stuff wasn't so glossy, but it'll be a bit if a variety in the MMO world.

I don't plan on bothering with this one, unless NCSoft fixes it's account security issues. Aion...beautiful for the most part, crappy crafting system, and the goldfarming, bots and account hacking prompted me to give it up. NCSoft needs to get their act together. So focused on making more money over their current customer's enjoyment and sense of security.
