the black one has the same problem that I had in the beginning. He doesn't form a good fist with his left hand (and the right too it seems). It's hard to get rid of that but you will take serious damage when you hit something (bad, pads, etc) or someone like this. A good way to get rid of it is to grab something like a lighter. It helped me a lot and I sometimes use it still. Aswell you should work on the footwork - look at some vids to twist your legs right - gives you more power.
heh you should teach each other.. one seems to have good boxing but awful knees and kicks.. the other seems to be more rounded w good kicks but could use some work on the boxing part
hmm in stead of finishing up with a high kick.. finish up with a lowkick.. lower shin to the opponents thigh so to say...
this video wasn' t uploaded for the purpose of getting to listen to the Bas Rutten workout tapes for free. You can easily download them yourself or better yet, purchase them from Bas Rutten's website.
@mmablog it is unfortunate that there are some people out there have nothing better to do than to critize others. it only shows what how narrow minded they are. great video.
you guys gotta start off with the footwork first, big time, one guy doesnt pivot or move his feet too much and the other guy seems to be standing too straight up could loose balance like that easily with any kind of hit.
you both might want to start with a beginners technique video of some sort. for the kid in black, punches need a lot of work. The kid in the white shirt needs work on needs and most likely all lower body strikes. A style like muay thai really cannot be learned from a tape... there's so much more too it. TECHNIQUE is huuuge. keep up the training though! :)
i got that tape too.. whenever i'm not training muay thai in class i train that tape at home.. and i do admit i do lose some of my technical ability especially when i get tired, but the tape is a goodworkout though. I wouldn't recomend the tape to people if one doesn't already have a kickboxing/muay thai, boxing, mma, jiu jitsu, grappling background though..
You guys have good stamina. I would recommend keeping your elbows in closer to your body, especially the guy in the black. Also, don't stand facing your opponent straigt on. Improving your stance will help you avoid kicks and punches to the body.
specifically for MMA, you should widen your stance. even as a boxer or MT practicioner, your feet look too close together.since i' can't see behind the camera and don't know if there's one behind it, perhaps watching yourselves in a mirror while you do your shadowboxing might help.
good job on the work though. what gym do you guys train at?
why are your punches so damn wide and why are your elbows out. pathetic. keep you chin down you idiots. the chinese guy is kind of doing it. damn it learn how pivot your feet the right way. you women make me sick.
can anybody tell me what is bass saying?is only 3 for throw a combo of trhee punches, kness etc..?
