you raise a good point. however, while we use the symbol of a watchtower on our literature, it is nothing more than a publishers logo. it is not a symbol of worship, or an icon. thename is scriptural, from verses describing christs people as a night watchman in his tower, keeping on the watch.

Your view point is skewed..for one thing..a watchtower is not a pagan origin..it is something that has been known to be used for milleniums as a place to watch for danger.
The cross and crown are not used any longer..when the knowledge of the cross vs stake became known, we rejected the cross. If this person is truely a witness..they would know that and would project this in such a way. Wedding rings are not KNOWN to be of pagan origin..so, the WTBS doesn't rule on it..conscience guide.

The bible clearly states at in the last days you will know the true religion because she will be the only one around preaching God's work. Then the goverments will try to abolish it and it will be like touching God's pupil! That's how you will know the true religion. I think to get close to God you dont have to have a religion. This is just my opinion, Do you really have to be on a side to get close to God? Do you have to be a muslim, christian or jew. As for the symbol of the watchtower being pagan: again that is a matter of context. Perhaps JWs derive this use from Is 21:5-12. Here, it is the Lord who builds the watchtower: "My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill. He dug it and cleared it of stones, and planted it with choice vines; he built a watchtower in the midst of it, and hewed out a wine vat in it; and he looked for it to yield grapes" (ESV). If you decide to leave the JWs, at least have a *decent* reason. :-)
The Knight Templar Cross and Crown symbol is hardly pagan, unless you mean that the cross itself is, as it predates Christianity. Similarly, the Solar Disk may be seen as pagan, but it is used in a positive context in Malachi 4:2, where God says: "for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings." Why is this pagan symbol okay to be blazoned in the pages of the Bible? As for the All-Seeing Eye as a sign of Providence, check out Ps 32:8 and 2Chr 16:10.

I used to be a JW for a few years. I left because when I needed there help the most they didn't give it to me. I needed help finding work. Many of them had pretty good jobs, but not one of them accept for the person who was my teacher tried to help me. So when I had joined the military all of them shunned me. Most respected my decision though. Btw JW's don't use the Cross and Crown anymore.

you raise a good point. however, while we use the symbol of a watchtower on our literature, it is nothing more than a publishers logo. it is not a symbol of worship, or an icon. thename is scriptural, from verses describing christs people as a night watchman in his tower, keeping on the watch.
back in the early days of the WT history, it took some tme to clean out and refine their teaching that churches had obscured thru centries of paganism. so in some of the early books u might see a cross.

Your view point is skewed..for one thing..a watchtower is not a pagan origin..it is something that has been known to be used for milleniums as a place to watch for danger.
The cross and crown are not used any longer..when the knowledge of the cross vs stake became known, we rejected the cross. If this person is truely a witness..they would know that and would project this in such a way. Wedding rings are not KNOWN to be of pagan origin..so, the WTBS doesn't rule on it..conscience guide.

As for the symbol of the watchtower being pagan: again that is a matter of context. Perhaps JWs derive this use from Is 21:5-12. Here, it is the Lord who builds the watchtower: "My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill. He dug it and cleared it of stones, and planted it with choice vines; he built a watchtower in the midst of it, and hewed out a wine vat in it; and he looked for it to yield grapes" (ESV). If you decide to leave the JWs, at least have a *decent* reason. :-)

The Knight Templar Cross and Crown symbol is hardly pagan, unless you mean that the cross itself is, as it predates Christianity. Similarly, the Solar Disk may be seen as pagan, but it is used in a positive context in Malachi 4:2, where God says: "for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings." Why is this pagan symbol okay to be blazoned in the pages of the Bible? As for the All-Seeing Eye as a sign of Providence, check out Ps 32:8 and 2Chr 16:10.

Another assembly Hall OWNED by the WT for many years is the one in Queens, NYC near the LIE. I was a kid when they were still serving hot breakfast there. On the outside of the Long Island City, Queens Assembly Hall, is the winged Sun Disk, prominently displayed. I've seen it in the Stanley theatre in New Jersey also.
This is problematic, because it has to do with the origins. JW can't stand up to the scutiny they dole out.

I used to be a JW for a few years. I left because when I needed there help the most they didn't give it to me. I needed help finding work. Many of them had pretty good jobs, but not one of them accept for the person who was my teacher tried to help me. So when I had joined the military all of them shunned me. Most respected my decision though. Btw JW's don't use the Cross and Crown anymore.

This is because too many awkward questione were being asked at the time the decided to not to use it. have a look at all my webvideos and find out that it was about 6yrs later after they stopped using the cross and crown that they brought out the teaching that Jesus did not die on a cross! True, they do not use the cross and crown, BUT they STILL use the "laurel Wreath" that surrounds it and puts it on the "shield of faith" on every JWs spritual "suit of armour"!

I don't know any religion that worships the cross. Roman crucifixion does use an actual cross. but that isn't even so important as the real fact that Christ did die for our sins.

the watchtower they use and sometimes wear is closely associated with artemis and modern wiccan beliefs which is why they criticize other for wearing or using a pagan cross. before they claim to hold the truth they must evaluate themselves and expell things that are not in accord with their own teachings.

If you want to misunderstand me than this shows how eager you look for mistakes.
I was referring to the short time history of the faithful slave and compared its origin whit Moses, Paul and David.Their root was Jehovah God for he created these prophets for his purpose. Back then there were also people who revolted against them numeri 12:1. Jehovah showed in who's favor he was
By the way al the denominations of christian churches are so divided that although they swear for Jesus they dont agree.
