I really don't like it, there s no flow with the intro, and frankly, Action News is like the Rocky theme , buried into the consciousness of this town. Why change things?

I like your idea. Of course, it wouldn't fly with the Philly faithful, given the 1996 incident. It might work with a different news station who wanted to take the WPVI idea, yet do something different music-wise.

From an editing standpoint, I would consider either speeding up the clips so they can match the beat [thus the emphasis of the beat means a cut between two videos], or just putting in different ones you have taken with your camera [if you have one].
