My HP Mini 110 has Windows 7 Ultimate and it REALLY needs this upgrade. What kinds of RAM do I need?

This is NOT for a 110-3015DX!!!

There you need to remove the battery, then you will see an orange slider.

Move this one and you can lift at the battery side the bottom cover.

Remove it and you will see at the same spot as the other moder a small metal cover with 2 screws, use a Philips screwdriver to open it and then you can replace th1 Gb with a 2 Gb module, place metal cover back and screw it on. Then place bottem cover, on side you have to put in first the the rest.

basically upgrading the ram is going to give you the necassary speed to run more applications at a time, stream video, and speed up youre netbook all together.

Never touch electronics with your skin, you are electrically charged you need to touch metal before you touch them or use a wrist strap. You could have fried the memory stick.

Great! I couldn't figure out how to get the original ram out and none of the other videos I watched showed how to manipulate the levers. This was exactly what I needed. Now I'm up & running. Out of curiousity are you running 7 yet? I am but my boot time is excruciatingly slow. Is this what I have to deal with or do you know of a fix?

first upgrade to windows 7 than upgrade the memory.if u upgrade the memory in xp there will be no difference at all.call hp technical service and ask them.

i got the hp mini 110-1025 and i was looking at the manuel and it said you need pc2 5300 533 mhz and ddr2, i looked around and found some that are pc2 5300 and ddr2 but they are 667 mhz i think, does it still work? or i still need the 533 mhz ram?

i would STRONGLY recommend the 6 cell battery. the ram i bought cost me around 35 dollars i believe. (in the end the ram doesn't seem to have made a large difference however if the money isn't a large issue then i would recommend it)

@terencet1603 The RAM really made a difference to me. It is a huge difference. I have the 6 cell as well as the 3 cell. Although the 6 cell lasts longer, I don't use it as much once it's bulky and ugly. However, when I don't have my cable around, I walk with it as a back up to the 3-cell, but I wouldn't say it's essential.

I think that the XP home is a pain, I am planning on upgrading the RAM on mine and upgrading to PRO, I got a 1030NR too, but mine came with SSD so it looks a bit different, good thing i take laptops apart for a living :D

it fits fine actually you would barely notice it if you wouldn't have previosly known about the size difference. i use my sleeve everywhere i take the mini and they are both great investments for the return on them.

the 6 cell battery doesn't interfere with the case at all. the two fit well together actually it's pretty nice . I strongly recommend both of the products despite the cost of the battery.

Thanks for the helpful video. I'm getting ready to do the same thing on my HP 110-1025DX and it's good to know exactly what the procedure will be look. Do you that your HP 110 boots faster and/or runs certain things faster now? Also, does it get hotter underneath, and if it does, does this cause any problems? Overall, what has your experience of this machine been like since you upgraded the RAM?

i haven't really noticed a huge difference however it does seem to load certain web pages faster (youtube and playlist).

i guess it just seems faster for streaming really.

yeah either one will work i might even go with the 800 because having a slightly higher frequency will never hurt anything, but could come in useful at some points

@kubinh both work, but the DDR2 800 runs faster and better, although some people say there's not big of a difference, I thought, personally, it was. Not to mention, DDR2 800 is just 4 bucks more expensive, it's better be safe than sorry.
