@wehnture You should pay attention to the fact that it was an older grave and that a body doesn't decompose without continuous oxygen. There isn't a vault in that grave. From the early 20th century, people bought Vaults to keep erosion down of their caskets. In fact, it is a law to pay for one now in the state of Florida because of our low altitude below sea level. The vault is designed to keep out rain water and insects from eating the wooden casket. Vaults come with grave packages these days.

There are only two ways to have a body exhumed legally. By a court order for a good reason (i.e. murder victim - second autopsy for evidence) and the second is you need permission from any living relatives, because they "own" the body. Would Andy's relatives allow his grave to be descrated? Probably not.
This is probably the same reason why they have not checked to see if Elvis is buried, there is no credible evidence to have him exhumed and Lisa Marie probably would not allow it.
The graves are 6 feet deep but keep in mind the vaults are about 2-3 feet tall so you would hit the top of the vault after digging 3-4 feet. This is obviously a fake.
You know why they put the tarp down, so that you couldn't see the names on the grave stones anymore. They put them there, then went to a different location, put some more tarps down to confuse you, and then dug up something.

Middle of the day, no witnesses, no security, no grounds keepers. That certainly wasn't 6 feet down. A for effort but not convinced, not convinced he is alive either. Fake and I will prove this. First the body is far too small to be adult. Second, the clothes would not be decomposed to the point of not being seen. The casket s not accurate, as that is a pine wood box, and not the same as the one he was in at his funeral.That type of box was used primarily for those who could not afford the higher end boxes. This isn't real. For starters, caskets aren't placed directly into the ground. They're encased in a concrete block. Second, caskets are sealed off and tightly locked to delay decomposition as much as possible. The concrete is then sealed with a cover as well. If that was Andy, there would still be some clothing and other remnants aside from just a skeleton.

Not to mention, the vault lid is very heavy & sealed as well as the casket. This casket clearly is dated before sealed or vaulted caskets which would explain the degree of decay & sediment inside the casket. The body also appears to be a child. These grave robbers probably initially filmed the first segemnt @ Andy's burial plot then filmed the disenterment @ some far off country cemetary to avoid detection & found some plot that dates back pre sealed burials. 1.Andy is buried in NY not NJ .2.Jewish Cemeteries rarely accept metal caskets this box is metal . 3. If Andy was buried in a metal casket it was steel , stainless steel copper or bronze ..Basic steel rusts Premium stainless Steel does not ,copper and bronze do not but they would have turned green with a natural bacteria called prima ..
The only possibility is that it was premium stainless steel the problem with that is that it doesn't easily corrode PERIOD..This has much corrosion

this is a bunch of superficial BS....that didn't even remotely resemble Andy Kaufman....plus the head stone didn't even show the actual year deceased....I'm guesing it was perhaps another Andy Kaufman family. Why all the cover up if it was indeed the real Andy?,,,It looked more like the workings of Bob Zumuda making a specticle of his boss...!

OK, pan back far enough to see that they were actually digging at the gravesite. They may have drove to Andy's grave that doesn't mean that they dug there. Middle of the day, no witnesses, no security, no grounds keepers. That certainly wasn't 6 feet down. A for effort but not convinced, not convinced he is alive either. Even if they dug this body up sceptics would still demand DNA, then Alex Jones would say they switched the DNA and everyone is in on the conspirocy.

@kpreston69 I don't want to make it sounds like this video is real because I know it's not, but it's not uncommon for people to be buried shallower than 6 feet (family is in the funeral biz) especially in a family plot where it is sometimes common to bury one casket on top of another family member.

Fake and I will prove this. First the body is far too small to be adult. Second, the clothes would not be decomposed to the point of not being seen. The casket s not accurate, as that is a pine wood box, and not the same as the one he was in at his funeral.That type of box was used primarily for those who could not afford the higher end boxes. This guy is a fraud, and should play in a microwave for making such fake crap like this! Thumbs way down on this with a wad of spit too...

This video is a total phony. One day Andy Kaufman is going to show up so unexpectedly on live tv. He will be laughing his butt off. This would be one of the biggest hoaxes of all time. Remember back a little further people were believing Paul McCartney was dead? Hoax! One of the greatest. I beleived it. It's just a matter of time. Kaufman has the money, the time and the patience. He made people sorry for his person and therefore his shape, so they later would believe he was sick...BUT he knew he was famous for hoaxing and that he had leaked the fact he wanted to fake his death.....so, he used the opportunity to "counter-trick" the world to actually think he would set up his funeral.

This isn't real. For starters, caskets aren't placed directly into the ground. They're encased in a concrete block. Second, caskets are sealed off and tightly locked to delay decomposition as much as possible. The concrete is then sealed with a cover as well. If that was Andy, there would still be some clothing and other remnants aside from just a skeleton.

Not to mention, the vault lid is very heavy & sealed as well as the casket. This casket clearly is dated before sealed or vaulted caskets which would explain the degree of decay & sediment inside the casket. The body also appears to be a child. These grave robbers probably initially filmed the first segemnt @ Andy's burial plot then filmed the disenterment @ some far off country cemetary to avoid detection & found some plot that dates back pre sealed burials. Good way to get sick & die.

This is a B.S. video as are most of them that are on you tube. There is no vault cover on the casket, Andy has not been dead long enough for the kind of tissue and clothing deteriation shown, and, there are no signs of a separated rib cage that would have been performed during Andy's autopsy. When I first saw this title, I thought I will have proof Andy Kaufman is dead when you dig up his old dusty bones....and you did! I am a physician. The first question I asked myself is: where is his teeth? There appears to be a deteriorated shirt across the lower ribs.... but is it too deteriorated.
I do not believe this is Andy Kaufman and I do not believe he is dead.

Besides beng ridulculously stupid & disrespectful, there's no way the remains in this casket are only 26 years old - unless there was some MAJOR water infiltration into this grave. And, even if there was, unless this person was buried naked, most or all of his clothing would remain. So I wouldn't even doubt that the skeleton itself is a hoax (though very clever, I'll admit).

For all who think this is real first of all look closer:
Then look at 1:33 ....... and then look at clip 1:35 ...... AHA! Notice the quickly done clip change? Yeah take a closer look at those bushes compared to the ones in clip 1:33 and please tell me this is NOT fake.
They staged it to look real with all the green tarps, and filming a quarter of this video at the real grave stone.

The PROOF that this is FAKE is contained in the You tube video entitled Interview with Andys brother ,,Near the end of it it shows actual footage of the casket Andy was buried in being taken out to the hearse ,,The wooden casket in the actual footage does not match the one in this video .PROOF CONCLUSIVE this is fake . After researching caskets extensively i assure you that the casket Andy's body is in has collapsed after 26 years of water leakage ,bacteria, weight of soil on top ect .

checks out in other pictures ive looked at. even the smallest little crack checks out.
and the surroundings behind the stone like the two trees and the other stone.
I'm not saying this video is or isnt fake. just raises a few questions to both sides.

1.Andy is buried in NY not NJ .2.Jewish Cemeteries rarely accept metal caskets this box is metal . 3. If Andy was buried in a metal casket it was steel , stainless steel copper or bronze ..Basic steel rusts Premium stainless Steel does not ,copper and bronze do not but they would have turned green with a natural bacteria called prima ..
The only possibility is that it was premium stainless steel the problem with that is that it doesn't easily corrode PERIOD..This has much corrosion

Ummmmm, this is completely fake. He is interred in New York State. The soil is far to red to be New York. Anyone who knows geology, knows that upstate New York actually has a "blueish tint" to the soils seen in direct sunlight.
