The UFC is worse than boxing was, in the 50s. It's completely controlled by one organization. If there's a fighter who's better than the current UFC champion, and Dana White can't get what he wants from him, they just don't sign him up to the UFC. Dana White makes all the matches, so he can easily keep the best fighter from being champion, if he doesn't get the right contract. UFC fans tend to be younger, and new to fighting sports. We boxing guys have seen it all before. It's fixed.

@ncrb73 Yeah, the UFC is a monopoly, but that's what makes the biggest fights happen. Dana forces the best match ups and since they own everyone, the best fighters are always there to match up. It's ideal. The only strike against that is the fighters might not get what they deserve in cash, which they don't IMO.

Look at the BS between mayweather and pac. Mayweather won't settle for $45M, and promotions don't want to work with each other. It makes for nothing but BS and frustration for the fans.
