  • This is simpler than my teacher explaining :D

  • Heat does not perform work. Heat is not energy. If heat actually was energy, the more heat you have should increase efficiency not decrease it like it does. It required energy to rub your hands together to get heat to appear. Trying to use the heat resulting from resistance/friction to do things, instead of just using energy to do things is insanity.

  • @bridgetroll9 Heat is the name we give to the energy that results from the motion of particles. Heat absolutely has the ability to do work. Cooking is an example.
