Ceasars don't go to fourth level, only ice-d and fire-d go to king-d and crashers to tiatans.

@simlaurel could be i got the crasher and ceaser mixed up, but one of them can still change into Tiatan, looks like a colossus but with the colors are switched, has 70 hp if I recall but hits 4 times melee/ranged, about 20 damage on a summoner or aoen, pretty sick unit to have but everybody targets it with stream. You gotta wait till they've wasted their mana. I remember watching my dad play this when I was 5 or so :), we didn't have the english version though ^^

Fire D can be upgraded again, to the king dragon, not many people know this :), ceasers can also be upgraded to 4th rank, every monster rank 3 that has a 250 exp bar can, that's how you can know (others have the max of 255)

My friend and me got into it I couldn't remember the name though but I found it on my first time searching for it despite my rather vague description... by all rights, it should not have worked

Way too few turns to do anything. You can't even reach the enemy leader before the turns run out, then you lose.

If you play MoM on the "Gens" Sega Genesis emulator, and save the game, you can use a hex editor to edit the saved game file to do all kinds of cool cheats - you can reset the current turn back to 1 in the saved game file, then load the saved game. You can do this as many times as you need to to have enough time to defeat the enemy masters.

very decent game. I just finished the two campaigns 15 years later. In campaign 1 , I always us storm to blow away monsters and go kill enemy masters directly lol.

Campaign 2 is easier I think, Great Angels + Great Demons + Silver/Gold Dragon unlimited health recovery when they level up + "flying" crusaders + stream damage magic, I cut through non stop almost every early chapters.

Stunning music, the best on the Genesis, Sword of Vermillion town music comes close.

Played MoM in 1991 when it came out, had some epic and very intense battles with friends.

I finally finished campaign 2 a few years ago, it was crazy difficult but rewarding once finished.

AVOID the crappy PS version.

The Genesis game is the only one worth playing.

I remember the North American instruction manual listed the Crusader's movement type as "air" meaning that he flies around the battlefield. I'm not sure if that's a mistranslation, but he sure could move far.

Extra tip: If you want to me more than the default demo played, when you let the title screen sit for awhile. Simply hold down A or C then press Start during the Demo. You can get different Demos by waiting longer in the current Demo before pressing the combination.

This is one way to see the special units only the computer can summon. I've never figured out if the player can. The other way is to play thru the campaign mode.

These include: Mage, Valkyre, Musha, Guardian, and Amazon.

Obviously a lot of people don't know about the two Ultra Class Monsters: King Dragon and Titan.

These monsters can easily challenge any main character one on one. Level the following to 250xp. Unlike other mobs that say 255, it should have hinted to you that they evolve again.

Red Dragon > Flame Dragon > Fire Dragon > King Dragon

Blue Dragon > Frost Dragon > Ice Dragon > King Dragon

Warrior > Attacker > Crasher > Titan

Enjoy the massive onslaught these two units bring to the field!

I did add serpents later. I never did know about the Titan, though. Gonna give it a try.

haha ice dragon has 4 levels not 3, youll see it has 250 end exp, not 255; its uber hard to make it last form though though it has most hp ingame (130), the crasher has it too, you can make such crashers in campaign. Last for Tiatan(70 hp if i recall), strongest mob in game at lvl 4

Me and my cousin used to play this religiously back in the early 90s.

There is a bug/cheat for this game: save the game before you actually attack and if you miss an attack, reset and load the game. Now you won't miss.

My friend and I were the only ones who ever rented this, so they let us buy it one day. I tried finding it on ebay but it's a tough one to find (for Genesis). Somehow, my brother ended up with it and gave it back, I played it a couple of weeks ago, goddamn is it addicting???

You're correct on both. When I played this game like crazy,I managed to get both of them 255 xp and saw them both get promoted one last time. The King Dragon is the same as the ones summoned by the computer and the Titan(spelled in game oddly as Taitan)uses the same sprites as a Colossus,just different in color and less hp.
