  • I know it wasnt possible but Sisko (Avery) and Janeway (Mulgrew) should really have been part of this.

  • "They killed him in the movie. Badly!"

  • stupid wookie disliked this

  • thank you for posting Star Trek: The Captain's Summit 1-7 i have never seen this i enjoyed it very much seen the star trek cast 2 diferent generations talking about their show it was awesome thanks again...

  • Gene Rodberry was an alien. No, wait, listen out. He created Star Trek to show a model humanity we need to strive to, based on the successful Alien society. His job was to bring us to that perfect society without violating the Prime Directive.

  • @MikeIvensky you are awesome.

  • @MikeIvensky Lol.

  • LMFAO Malcom McDowell is still in the nexus lol.

  • @Vamphaery Too bad he wasn't in this. Guy's a hoot. Would've improved this by a factor of 1.73.

  • How could Whoopi forget she was in Generations!

  • @ScorpiousDelectus To be fair, the movie makers did too. Never saw her name in the credits!

  • Still very interesting

  • william shatner is something else

  • Is it just me or Spock n Kirk didn't let the other 2 talk....

  • Jonathan: I think people are inspired by the anti sexism and anti racism that was practiced on all the shows"

Well... maybe not all the shows. Ya forgot that in Kirks time apparently women weren't allowed to be Captain of a starship.

I also found it interesting that Jayneway failed to mention that fact when she was fantasizing about going back in time and rubbing elbows with Kirks generation of Captains.

  • @GuitarMistress1 It may not be very equal now, but just think of the era when it was first released. Having Uhura, a black woman, as a bridge officer was completely unthinkable before that. Or having both Russians and Americans serving together on a spaceship.

  • @GuitarMistress1 This is true. Though for the time it was very progressive. Though in the context of it being from the 60's, it was still very male-oriented. Especially considering Kirk seemed to make out with a woman in every single episode.

  • "Bill, we're very close, you're my buddy... but you're LYING!!!" LOLOLOLOL

  • Their bikering is delicious.

  • Haha Bridge on the Captain!

  • I'd just enjoy their additional view points. Kirk and picard are great

  • I love how calm and poised Stewart is when Shatner tells him he's never watch a full episode of TNG.

  • @talaxian1 yeah but i bet he was totally pissed! :P

  • @whitee1992 true, but you'd never know it.

  • Is there are fart at around 7:52? xD

  • Sweet, a Rescue 911 reference!

  • It would have been more interesting with the other captains viewpoints but it was still very good.

  • @rowan1325 why? none of the others really hold a candle to Kirk or Picard.

  • @rowan1325 I agree...as much as I love Kirk and Picard, Kirk more so. I would have loved Sisko, Janeway, and Archer to be here to :)

  • I love this . Thank you so much for uploading . This is the best birthday present.

  • William Shatner never watched an episode of TNG...gee...what a shocker!

  • the "future is bad" show Shatner's talking about is possibly Andromeda?

  • William Shatner obviously has never heard of Peak Oil. Around 2:00.

  • "bridge... on the captain." XD

  • @Saiko47 That was hilarious. If Picard had been the one to say that line, the Kirk fans would have rioted.

  • "You came back with a directing assignment! How good was that!" LOL!

  • where's star trek III? @ 3:25

  • Riker facepalm action at 7:26!

  • This is true! There is a sort of prejudice/resentment amongst us trekkie "fans" about our series we prefer. I believe it is healthy to admit to what they're talking "around." For some reason, I had no problem watching every single episode of the next generation and deep-space-nine. But I refuse to watch the "original" star trek, Enterprise, or Voyager; Voyager probably because I am [secretly] sexist and prejudiced against women in-power. But as for the other two (my opinion) they're too boring.

  • Shatner is an asshole! How could he admit never watching Picards show

  • @TheGodmode680 The exact same way Jonathan and Patrick said the same thing in the first part I'd assume.

  • disappointed they didn't include the other captains from other series

  • Frakes: he was in the movie. they KILLED him in the movie....BADLY...

  • 7:11 Jonathan Frakes reaction = PRICELESS

    I lol'd.

  • William Shatner doesn't watch his shows cause he knows how good his acting skills are.

  • Hahaha, bridge on the captain!

  • I gotta tell you. As a huge Trek fan...it really pisses me off watching this and seeing Nimoy take over every damn topic. He keeps interrupting Johnathan Frakes and Patricdk Stewart, and sometimes even Shatner. His friggin ego knows no bounds.

  • no star trek 3 on dvd? .-.

  • HAHAHAHAHA Leonard at 8:04

  • they're all stoned lol

    awesome

  • "I love you and we're very close to each other but you're lying." Leonard is awesome!!!!!!

  • It's Ok, Leonard. Malcolm McDowell actually got blown up in the movie!

  • This is awesome!

  • Awkward.

  • "Captain's Balls" oh that cracks me up : P x

  • @LoveOfNight94 me too and also bridge on the captain got me

  • "He was in OUR movie! And they killed him! Badly!" Jonathan Frakes is smarter than he looks.

  • Bad futures don't sell? What about the Matrix, Bladerunner, Firefly/Serenity etc? They were all miserable as fuck with killer robots, totalitarian governments, cannibalistic freaks and they were massive successes.

  • @randomface54 I see what you're saying, but none of those properties have the legacy Trek does. In fact, no science fiction property other than Star Wars has the enduring popularity of Trek. But Star Wars is different. It doesn't take place in the future and they're not "our" humans. The truly enduring science fiction stories are the hopeful ones. So the less hopeful properties did sell, but not in nearly the same way.

  • @randomface54 But Firefly got canceled, Serenity didn't make a dime in theaters, Blade Runner was (initially) panned into obscurity, and The Matrix only works in one dose. They're good, but as not profitable as something like Trek.

  • @ForceMaximus84 Firefly was massivly popular, it was only cancelled due to FOX's incompetence, that's why the DVD sales were so good. Hardly any cinemas showed Serenity and the Matrix and Bladerunner are now famous and very successful.

  • sigh. Star Trek is a great future. i hope ours turns out like that.

  • At 3:18, too bad there wasn't a group hug...

  • Bridge...on the captain!

  • It's funny to me that the fans actually know more about Star Trek than the people who were in it themselves. What a shame.

  • Cool summit ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • Thats right!..Malcolm McDowell is still in the 'Nexis'..Great story line for a future Trek flick, don't you think? Think of the casting possibilities!

  • Only Patrick Stewart could pull off wearing those soc ks.

  • I agree with Whoopi Goldberg, Roddenberry's legacy was a vision of what humanity can and hopefully will do.

  • Anyone else get the sense that no one really likes Shatner that much?

  • @sammythemc

    Everyone loves the Shat.

  • @sammythemc he was hated by the whole cast of the orignal star trek back when they filed it lol

  • @sword4005 filmed

  • Malcolm McDowell's character was blown up in Star Trek: Generations, dummies. He's not in the nexus.

  • Unfortunately humankind is ultimately always fooled by the evil power hungry wealthy elite (Royals & Billionaires) who currently control the nations of the world through their mega corporations and banks. Until humankind breaks free of their tyrannical shackles there will never be a Star Trek future.

  • It's funny how towards the end of this clip they finally answer Whoppi question.

  • @upinarms79 @un4g1v3n1

Shhhh, the adults are trying to watch the show.

  • ''he died poorly!''

    THANK YOU!

    man this is cool! :)

  • HUGE balls...CAPTAIN'S balls...

  • More awesomeness. :)

  • @ 6:17, wow. You can really see the wounded look in Patrick Stewart's eyes.

Bill Shatner is a prick anyway, Sir Patrick is a serious actor and (reputedly) a great guy.

  • DeForest Kelley was in TNG as well, in the Pilot.

  • ANTI-SEXISM? ANTI-RACISM? Is Frakes joking here? Is this more toungue-in-cheek trekie humor? The original series had one black woman in it. Her skirt came up almost high enough to sneek a peek at her goodies. Kirk was banging every alien chick that graced the screen. Goldberg played a character that served drinks to all the white space cadets. Hmmm? Then talk about BALLS! Yep, sexist, and racist free.....How dare I question NUMBER 1?

  • @un4g1v3n1

Your speaking through a generation gap. In the 60's this was considered very progressive.

  • @Abewillow Okay...Then please, do tell me how much better off the human race is off now, than it was in the 60's...I really would like to know! I understand this will be presented through the view of your own personal opinion, but I'm interested to know how you believe we have progressed, especially towards less sexism, and less racism?

  • @un4g1v3n1 It sounds like you don't even like Star Trek, so why are you even watching this vid? Abewillow is right, in the 60's Star Trek was very progressive. Yes they had only one black woman, that's all they were allowed to have, and she spoke more than yes sir, no sir which was extremely rare. And ST was the first show to have an interracial kiss. Woman were objectified in the 60's, it wasn't only Uhura who's skirt was short. Roddenberry got a lot flak for his progressive views.

  • @ChronomancerKT Well, you are wrong in so many ways, where do I start. Le'ts see...I watched ST everyday, and twice on Saturday back in the SEVENTIES. "Yes they had only one black woman, that's all they were allowed to have" and who is this entity that ALLOWED them to have only one black woman?

Women WERE objectified in the 60's? You don't say? And I suppose those days are over with now eh? no more objectification of women. We are so damned ENLIGHTENED now! LMFAO! PROGRESSIVE? HA!

  • @un4g1v3n1 There was a black admiral in the original series, as well as female doctors, and many other different ethnic groups represented amongst the Enterprise's crew and Star Fleet's command. Most of that was unheard of in 1966 in mainstream entertainment. The short skirts were simply a product of the 60's. ...and are you really trying to suggest that if a bartender is black, it's inadvertently racist?

  • His VISION of hope would go alot further if humanity, especially those posing as SCIENTISTS, would have the courage to SPEAK TRUTHFULLY about SPACE, instead of continuing to LIE, in order to protect the LIES of NASA, specifically their FAKED SPACE EXPLOITS! What do you expect when you seed your space program with NAZI PROPULSION, and MIND SCIENTISTS....

    PROJECT PAPERCLIP!

  • @un4g1v3n1 what do you mean by fake space exploits? and it is well known that the us used german technology after wwII.

  • @iammaac1 Yes....and the most prominent GERMAN TECHNOLOGY was human in nature..Propaganda used to control the minds of the masses...Something, as you may recall, Hitler, and his Propaganda, minister Joseph Goebbels were highly successful using! Now, if you wish to allow yourself to be mindfucked by an organization seeded with NAZI mind scientists, and propulsion scientists, so be it. For me, I prefer learning about the REAL SPACE ENVIRONMENT, and sharing that TRUTH with my fellow HUMAN BEINGS!

  • @iammaac1 BTW, your channel is not available! What's that all about? Hiding something are we?

  • @un4g1v3n1 You're right. We beat them fair and square in WWII. We obviously should have just lined up some of the most brilliant minds in the world with years of scientific experience and shot them then and there. Why would we ever put someone like that to work for our own scientific purposes? Propulsion experts and nuclear physicists are a dime-a-dozen. Just like that Einstein... what a waste of time he turned out to be, huh?

  • @upinarms79 Hitler was such a great speaker!. We should have hired him to tour the World and teach our children how to speak with such passion! Yep. I'm sure glad we employed all those NAZI mind scientists who experimented on the minds of the jews...Now our country is filled with morons who believe such tripe that Goebbels would be proud of! And the propulsion experts...Thank GOD for them. Cause the US and Russia citizens were all complete idiots incapable of ROCKETRY! You are an idiot!

  • @un4g1v3n1 They made progress that we hadn't even begun to experiment with yet, so I don't think it was wasted time. It put us years ahead in understanding flight dynamics and propulsion. Why don't you just go ahead and cut to the chase and tell us that you know it's all a Rothschild conspiracy? It's pretty obvious that you're one of those types. Most likely also schizophrenic. I'll bet you also own enough conspiracy theory books and videos to sink a battleship.

  • @upinarms79 Why don't you cut to the chase, pull up your sleeve, show us all your swastika tattoos, and tell us all how inferior jews, and niggers are to the WHITE RACE? Most likely the kind of ignorance you suffer from leads you to believe such tripe. Perhaps you missed the fact that Hitler and the NAZI's were bent on WORLD DOMINATION? And PROGRESS! What a concept. Without it, we wouldn't have a shitload of radioactive WASTE scattered across our planet, threatening our well being! cont.

  • @un4g1v3n1 The ol' "When you can't offer any solid rebuttal or evidence, back yourself in to a corner and call 'em a Nazi" tactic, eh? I guess "idiot" wasn't effective enough. Classic conspiracy nut tactic. Modern archeology and anthropology have done a fairly good job of explaining the pyramids and even their cultural and religious significance. I'm sorry that isn't as exciting as saying they were built by illuminati lizardman aliens, but true none the less. Go watch Ancient Aliens.

  • @upinarms79 For a guy who still can't comprehend the deadly environment of space, due to a NUCLEAR GENERATOR such as our SUN, pumping out incredible amounts of energy, you sure think you are awfully smart. I'd suggest more educational programming such as many quoted in my radiation films, to remove the veil of ignorance from your mind. Although I hardly think you'll take such a direciton seeing as you prefer delusions over reality!

  • @upinarms79 pt 2 Progress? Funny concept. Look at the planet. We can't explain how the pyramids were built, yet claim to have set foot on the moon! And yet admit we don't have the radiation shielding to safely make a return trip to the moon, or beyond! So, we LIE about our technological progress when it suits creating psychological OPIATES for the MASSES! You see, what you suffer from is delusions of grandeur, mixed with weak armchair psyhcology assessments of total strangers!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Unless you're a troll, I'd say my assessment is just about dead-on. You're right though, one of us is obviously delusional. Since I don't have dozens of videos that offer little to no empirical evidence about my crazy claims and ramblings, I wonder which of us that could be?

  • @upinarms79 "you're a troll" This accurately presents your face in the mirror of truth!

Deadly amounts of RADIATION IN SPACE is EMPRIACALLY EVIDENCED! The fact that the majority of humanity ignores that when believing in NASA's APOLLO FAIRY TALES, is proof the masses suffer from COGNITIVE DISSONANCE...You suffer from the same disease, alongside your obvious delusions of grandeur!

  • @un4g1v3n1

Oh no, not a delusional "we never went to the moon" conspiracy theorist. ROTFL.

  • @CheddarBob39 Oh, no, not another Pavlovian Dog, buys everything the government, and it's tit-feeding agencies sells them idiot?

    ROFLMAO

  • @un4g1v3n1

Hey, don't get mad at everybody because you did too many drugs and turned into a paranoid narcissist.. ( :

  • @un4g1v3n1

An "IRRATIONAL" paranoid narcissist at that.

  • @CheddarBob39 watch?v=QT4cFTJM288 You should try laughing in lieu of acting like an armchair pshyotherpist troll boy....

  • @un4g1v3n1

ROTFL!!!!! hahahahaha, you should be a comedian. I watched that video, it was hilarious.

  • @CheddarBob39 watch?v=ZksmsCYywiw Don't waste your time watching the YT version. Click on the link to the version at Current. I laughed so hard making this one....

    Peace!

  • @un4g1v3n1

No need for me to contaminate a beautiful video with so many ugly curse words so I deleted my comments. ( :

  • @un4g1v3n1

Especially with something so ridiculous and off topic. ( : Now back to the subject. I love these guys. So funny, intelligent, and cool.

  • @upinarms79 You see, with war criminals who think so little of humanity that they kill, and experiment on them, you either jail, or hang them! You don't allow them to continue their horrors on your own citizens by wiping their criminal record clean, and then setting them loose on your own! I guess that makes too much sense for a complete fucking idiot like yourself!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Please, do us all a favour and go take your medication. If you don't have any to take, go see a psychiatrist and get a prescription. You obviously need it. No one from NASA has preformed unlawful human experimentation, the moon landing wasn't fake, and only a couple of scientists in Operation Paperclip is suspected of experimentation, which wasn't known at the time. Also, a tip for you in the future-- Calling people names on the internet doesn't make you look smarter, nor right.

  • @upinarms79 "Calling people names on the internet doesn't make you look smarter, nor right." HYPOCRITE MUCH? Your continued defense of ARDENT NAZI'S placed into our space program, military industrial complex, universities, and psychiatric hospitals, is all the proof anyone needs to support my assessment of you! While you assessment prove troll, and ignoramous extraordinare!

  • wouldn't any star trek fan love to be a part of this forum..

  • deforest kelly encounter at farpoint

  • Lol, Generations was so bad that the cast members can't even remember it!

  • @ltflak non of them watch their own shows

  • @ltflak Generations is not that bad, it is watchable and fairly entertaining is some parts ....just killing off Kirk leaves a bad taste in ones mouth

  • This is Star Trek you never die! hahaha

  • Look at Frakes expression of face at 7:12 XD

  • This is good stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • "bridge on the captain! "

    lol.

  • Lol i had anthoter youtube video of robert taki going at 6:15 and at that momnet he said oh my LOL!

  • somthing odd about this

  • oh, this is great, listening to them laughing their asses off, joking around, being intimate and being simply amazing and friends

  • My face when neither Patrick Stewart nor William Shatner remember the plot of the movies they were in.

    ಠ_ಠ

  • @SpazzyMcGee1337 they're not Star Trek "geeks" (no offense), they are just actors who made and read hundreds movies of scripts.. they can't remember any detail

  • when was this made?

  • Jonathon is such a cutie <3

  • i wanna see those four on a negotiating table with Darth Vader and darth sideous. discussing possible mergers between the federation and the galactic empire. lmao im such a nerd

  • @nirvanafan199294 GeneralGrin has a few recuts where Picard battles the Empire and becomes a Sith Lord!

  • This is great stuff, Thanks for the upload

  • I would take the opportunity to meet Patrick Stewart over the other four on this stage together any day of the week.

  • Bill is looking up upon his impeding death in ST 7 and "oh no, bridge on the captain" HAHAHAH! MAke me luagh!!!!!!!!!

  • wow these people know shit about star trek, they were only in it for the money. maybe except for that nerd jonathan frakes

  • Gene Roddenbury based a lot of Trek on the Venus Project by Jacque Fresco who is still alive at 95 working on the project. It is not teh source of a worldwide movement for a resource based economy which is shown in the NG .

No money system. Millions are now aware of it and working in that direction to make a real future for man. You can Google Zeitgeist Moving Forward and Zeitgeist Movement and the Venus Projec. to find out about it.

  • What did Shatner say about TJ Hooker? The torture was watching Russia's? Rush's?

  • @Dragblacker

"Watching the rushes", the very first rough print of the scenes, before any editing.

  • Love Shatner's honesty. Love Stewart's reaction. These guys are friends :)

  • I like the story about the Vegas policeman.

  • Love the awkward pause at 4:28 when they realize they don't remember anything about the movie they were in.

  • I can't believe neither of them watched the show........I like nemoy and William, but patrick stewert could act rings around them T_T truth be told Stewert could act rings around every single actor that ever appeared on star trek. No disrespect to any of them

  • @krypter3

I tend to agree, but there are times when I think Brent Spiner is right up there with him.

    XD

  • @krypter3 well yes but I have to admit Spock's death scene was done brilliantly by both Nimoy and Shatner

  • The letter Patrick Stewart mentions at the beginning of this clip is really what Star Trek is all about -- touching stuff.

  • "we didn't want Leonard in it"

    Now thats hilarious.

  • you know, I'm not a huge star trek guy, but this is an informative, awesome interview/summit/thing

  • hahahahahaha bridge on the captain <3

  • It's kind of funny and tragic that they can't remember a damn thing about the movies!

  • Its too bad they didn't have Avery Brooks on. I would like to hear him talking about how DS9 modified Roddenberry's utopian vision and also how Brooks pushed to do episodes that directly took on issues of racism.

  • @rocketsjudoka I totally agree, Avery was a brilliant actor, he deserved to be on this.

  • in soviet russia, bridge is on the captain!

  • @mentalrectangle in Star Trek Generations, bridge LANDS on the captain.

  • This is awesome thank you so much for putting this up!

  • @JonnyBaak

    Second that.

I never knew this existed, its great :D
