  • I'm in Mississippi, and I went to the state Department of Ag. to look at requirements for a license. It said you have to buy plants from a Mississippi Nursery or a Nursery licensed to sell in Mississippi. Would your sources be licensed to sell to me?

  • I looked into it in Texas and there is a Nursey License needed to sell plants. It is a $75.00 a year for the license and you have to have address of the nursey registered with them so they can inspect to make sure you are not transmitting diseased plants or plants infested with certain types of bugs. My question is if your selling by mail over state lines is their a federal license needed?

  • @xiongbaby87 yes you do need a license if you plan to sell your plants. Your nursery will need an inspection, but it isnt difficult and it doesnt cost much. Look for your states department of agriculture's website and look online for a nurserymens application or give them a call and find out what to do. best of luck!

  • if i want to open my own plant nursery do i need a license?
