This is so very interesting that Reagan made this recording in 1961 to discourage support for Medicare for the elderly that finally passed in 1965. Then in 1988, President Reagan tried to pass "100-360, Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act" that would have greatly expanded the benefits of Medicare and Medicaid including paying for their drugs and this was to be funded by additional medicare taxes that was to be progressive, Gee Whiz! Ron must have had a change of heart about government healthcare!

Instead, my employer, the state of the employer, and the insurance company chosen by my employer in my state are what choose my doctor for me. That's not capitalism. We need federally-funded HSAs. That's the answer.

Insurance companies tell you where you can't go, what they won't pay for, that you'll pay 3/4 of prescription costs even though you've paid for 100x the full cost of prescriptions for 20 years in your insurance. You may not need a mammogram, but you're paying for all of those Mall Mammogram locations instead of having people go to hospitals while simultaneously getting screwed...

I never said that American health professionals were incapable and like all western nations have some people who are better at what they do than anyone else in a chosen field. But this has little to do with the argument I was presenting. The postal service is user fee based system that is supposed to pay for itself. Not socialism.
Public schools are supposed to be paid for and controlled locally. Because they aren't, it is socialism and that's why they fail.
Libraries, fire departments, and police are locally controlled and financed. They aren't socialism because they aren't federally forced. A city can opt to not pay for any of those things and some small towns do. Volunteer fire departments exist around the country.
The thing that you don't understand or care about is freedom. Once you give up control of your person, you no longer have freedom. Health care controlled by politicians and bureaucrats prevents you from making choices. Why? Because everything about your life affects your health, and thus, the financial impact on public spending. Think about this. There is only one thing in this world that has always belonged to you. It is your person, your body.

The schools are failing to produce anyone that can be competitive in the job market, the postal service is the least efficient way to ship any package compared to the private sector, libraries are the least effective and most antiquated way to gather information, it's free and you get what you pay for. I wish people would lay off the Post Office. They have a mandate to deliver to Every address, whether the route is profitable or not, and in many areas which many of would would not dare enter. The private companies get to say no, and in many cases the private companies contract to the PO. But on that note, just think what this will do to us if there is a mandate that Everyone gets healthcare.

This is so very interesting that Reagan made this recording in 1961 to discourage support for Medicare for the elderly that finally passed in 1965. Then in 1988, President Reagan tried to pass "100-360, Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act" that would have greatly expanded the benefits of Medicare and Medicaid including paying for their drugs and this was to be funded by additional medicare taxes that was to be progressive, Gee Whiz! When he talks about the doctor-patient relationship, he isn't talking about the United States in the 21st century. As a patient, I don't choose my own doctor, and I cannot easily change doctors. Instead, my employer, the state of the employer, and the insurance company chosen by my employer in my state are what choose my doctor for me. That's not capitalism. We need federally-funded HSAs. That's the answer.

Insurance companies tell you where you can't go, what they won't pay for, that you'll pay 3/4 of prescription costs even though you've paid for 100x the full cost of prescriptions for 20 years in your insurance. You may not need a mammogram, but you're paying for all of those Mall Mammogram locations instead of having people go to hospitals while simultaneously getting screwed...

Because of this, now in poor states (such as in the South and in the Bible Belt), the rich vote Republican and the poor vote Democrat. Before, the GOP was known for fighting against the KKK. I do try to choose my terms carefully, and if put to classify things I would call Bush a Fascist, as he seemed to advocate 'public-private partnerships' and war as economic stimulus (especially for chosen people).
Most governments embody some degree of Fascism or Socialism; and in the end those two ideologies end up in the same place when carried to their conclusion (the total state); which is why I advocate for the distinction to be between Statism and Liberty.

Socialism does lead to communism. You can look that up. Karl Marx, the man credited with inventing both, states as much. He saw socialism the transition phase between capitalism and communism.
Socialism removes individual freedom and choice in favor of the collective.

The postal service is user fee based system that is supposed to pay for itself. Not socialism.
Public schools are supposed to be paid for and controlled locally. Because they aren't, it is socialism and that's why they fail.
Libraries, fire departments, and police are locally controlled and financed. They aren't socialism because they aren't federally forced. A city can opt to not pay for any of those things and some small towns do. Volunteer fire departments exist around the country.

The thing that you don't understand or care about is freedom. Once you give up control of your person, you no longer have freedom. Health care controlled by politicians and bureaucrats prevents you from making choices. Why? Because everything about your life affects your health, and thus, the financial impact on public spending. Think about this. There is only one thing in this world that has always belonged to you. It is your person, your body.

Ahem. The schools are failing to produce anyone that can be competitive in the job market, the postal service is the least efficient way to ship any package compared to the private sector, libraries are the least effective and most antiquated way to gather information, it's free and you get what you pay for. Thanks for proving Reagan's point. As for police and fire depts, they are not federally controlled, they are controlled by the community.

I wish people would lay off the Post Office. They have a mandate to deliver to Every address, whether the route is profitable or not, and in many areas which many of would would not dare enter. The private companies get to say no, and in many cases the private companies contract to the PO. But on that note, just think what this will do to us if there is a mandate that Everyone gets healthcare.

Yes, public schools, libraries, fire dept, police dept are at the STATE level NOT Federal, and so should health-care issues be, at the STATE level. You ever find it interesting, how people who donate a large fraction of their lives towards charity causes, like at children's hospitals for example, how those same people will see the word "thank you" turn into "I'm entitled". Do you see that?

The difference is in a Capitalism country like America it's a eat what you kill society. everybody is selfish out for personal gain , people always thinking , thats mine you can't have none. In a country like mine we were taught the value , it's not mine , it's ours. We sink or swim as a society and not as individual. We don't have big fancy thing like Americans but everybody gets bare essentials to survive , job , home , decent transportation. And that keeps a strong bond amongst people.
